Hey Edwin, the C4 seats are definitely quite expensive to repair and or replace the seat covers with new. Sometimes the best way to go is with a new set like you mentioned.

The new seat looks sportier. Are you changing the passenger side too? How do you remove the cigarette smoke smell from the interior?

Yep, the OEM definitely looks better. I did the passenger side off camera since it was a repeat of the driverside. For smoke or other smells, I like to use a neutral shampoo treatment of the carpet, and then follow up with some febreze or like product to eliminate any lingering odors.

Yep, exactly the same. I'd be willing to bet if you took the cushion off you might find the lower fiberglass seat frame bottom is cracked, possibly around the thru holes for the 13MM mount bolts.

My fasten seat belt light doesn't work properly, I checked in diagnostic mode and the car appears to think the seatbelt is always buckled no matter what so I'm guessing some previous owner disabled it so it didn't nag him. How should I go about getting it working again?

Hey Joburg, first thing I would check is that connector which is essentially the ground path to turn the bulb off. If it looks ok, I would start back tracing from there to check the integrity of the wiring harness.

Hey Scott, you could theoretically make these fit, but they are taller than the 3rd gen seats and the mounting holes are in different locations.

Hey man I was wondering if you could help me with my 89 trans am I just bought. It will crank but won’t start without starting fluid and it will run perfectly fine until you cut it off then it again won’t start by itself. Any ideas on what that could be?

My first thought off the top of my head would be to check the fuel pressure. Sounds like your not getting enough of a prime to the fuel rails to make the engine start. It needs a minimum of 42 PSI to start and run properly, although it will run with less pressure once it's been "jumped" with some starting fluid. Let me know how the troubleshooting goes👍.

That’s actually one of the first things we checked and it was at 44 or 45 with the key on and running.

Ok, that's a good start. Go in and check it once it stalls to see if the pressure is still holding. Is so, you'll need to start looking into the spark and injector drivers to make sure they're still operating correctly.
