Hey Terry, it depends on quite a few factors like the type, location, and extent of the damage of the car. With that being said, over the 25 years I've been by buying them, I paid as little as $0 up to $15,000.

The key to TPI is no vacuum leaks, and proper sensors all working correctly. THEN you can consider the typical mods….larger throttle bore or larger runners for intake…then typical small to medium bore headers. But still you have the L98 heads to deal with…. If you can wrap your mind around 3500-4500 max rpm the L98 TPI engine is for you

@VetteSource, I have the following fuel system-related issue/question and hope you or someone else may have an answer: From one day to the next, I have a problem fueling up. At our Costco, I could not add more than 0.1 Gallon, and the filler would shut off. Now, I have the same issue at any gas station. I researched (Google, KZbin, Reddit, Corvette forums, etc.) and only found 2 issues that seemed potentially 'my issue'; 1. I replaced the messed up 'fuel neck', and 2. the EPA Vapor Canister Vent Valve, but no change at all. One mechanic suggested that I lower the gas tank and check/replace the fuel entry flap, but I have not seen nor read anything about this even existing, and I don't think I have the means/ability to go about this myself, hence my question here. Thanks a lot in advance for any insights.
@VetteSource23 күн бұрын
That's a common problem from the GM vehicles of that era and very frustrating. I've experienced the same problem on my Suburban. What you need to do is disconnect the fuel vapor vent tube from the vapor charcoal canister and blow it out with compressed air. It should clear the line and allow the fuel vapors to escape from the tank as you fill it with fuel. Let me know how it turns out👍

No, it should move freely. Sounds like you may need to pull the seat - kzbin.info/www/bejne/jF61lqluetWSi6ssi=oQlU4dcFjwBrx_lS so you can access the parking brake cover and remove it. Once it's off, you can take a closer look at the mechanism to make sure nothing is broken and lubricate as needed.

Hi, what about the convertible reason. You mentioned you'll come back to the convertible issue on why water is entering through the cabin near the feet area. Is there drain what could be clogged under the hood?
@wlc1980Ай бұрын
I have a 1994 convertible with 61,000 miles. My climate controls act up, won’t respond etc. I tore it down a few years ago and sprayed electronic spray on the terminals as suggested by a video, and it did start working normal. Now it’s acting up again. My CD player has never worked and recently I only get sound out of my right side speakers. I don’t see an adjustment for right to left just front to rear. It’s little things like this that make me want to sell the car sometimes. I’m also trying to diagnose a surging idle when cold, improves when it warms up but barely surges. I can’t find a shop where anybody knows more than me to get it diagnosed. No trouble codes pop up. I’m in the Atlanta area if anybody knows a Corvette expert. I’ve owned the car since 1999. The previous owner sold it when the warranty ran out. Thanks

Hey Tracy, sounds like you are experiencing some of the normal features inherent in owing a 25 year old car. With the Corvettes, it can become even more frustrating since they were pretty technology heavy for the time, and the electronics aren't the easiest to troubleshoot. I would recommend purchasing a factory service manual set off ebay. There is a ton of information inside, and will lead to you to a proper diagnosis most of the time.

@VetteSourceАй бұрын
There are 2 fuel pump relays, one located on each side of the dash under the kick panels. Once you remove the kick panels, you will see several relays attached to a brace bar. The relay on the PS is located closest to the door. The relay on the left is located closest to the console. Let me know if you need anything else👍.
