I have this exact kit on the way for my 50 model frame you did a great job my only concern is it not being center the wheel well. Im working on a seperate bare frame and the truck i am going to be building is still assembled

Thanks, before finish welding in the cross member, locate, tack into place, assemble front suspension then assemble the front fenders, if the wheels are centered in the wheel well, finish weld.

Suggestion, On the fitment of the C notch, when fitting it up, if you were to go corner to corner you would end up with a 100 percent fillet weld, in other words if the frame tube material is 1/8" thick and 2" wide the C coupon wold be 1-3/4" wide, so that when fit in, both sides would mate corner to corner, giving you the 100 percent fillet, and when finishing out with soft wheel, radius's out really nice.

I really don't care for the C-4 swap..... a TCI IFS frontend is very straight forward and much better, definitely NOT a mustang II, Sorry I missed this comment somehow last year

@@guzzifabrication3448 No worries. The TCI is too expensive for me. The more I think about that upcoming project the more I think xjs or swap in somebody else's dropped axle with a rack and pinion. I never see the TCI for sale used so it must be a kepper though. Thanks.

I'm planning on doing a C4 Vette front suspension on my '37 Ford, so the frame will be a little different, but shouldn't be that much different I wouldn't think. Do you think it's going to be possible to remove that rack with the engine in place? Being a mechanic, I always try and make things serviceable, unlike the engineers that design cars.

Definitely the original. If it's too rusted then a swap is a great idea but the S10 is only popular because a few companies push their kits. The S10 is a 1/4 ton truck with a bad fitment to the AD body and most of the suspension gets swapped out right after you swap it in tl make it work including swapping the rear end. Go with something better like a Durango or Colorado or envoy or C4 or c1500 or caprice or tahoe....etc., etc.
