However I put together a full online course that shows you material creation in standard c4d renderer, you can check it out free here on Skillshare skl.sh/2ONN6GY The glass material I use is actualy the same one;) Thanks for watching!
@dongli52615 жыл бұрын
there are comments that asked how to achieve the material in every video I have watched on this channel~~ which means a lot of people(beginners like me) don't know how to do it. I think you have explained before that 'it's often the same process' (hmm~~I think they vary a lot hahahaha.) and that you are trying to keep the videos short(I think a little explanation on the material wouldn't make a video THAT much longer). Also if you don't include materials in the video, you would have to spend time to reply to those comments anyway(and even if people download the project file, they still don't know how to create that material). And sometimes when people follow a tutorial, they want to get the final result(what they see in the intro). wow that's a long comment lol. just trying to explain my confusion haha. and love your videos by the way. I learned a lot :)
@CGShortcuts5 жыл бұрын
Sorry Dong would love to go through everything for you but I just dont have the time. The tutorials take a really long time to develop, record, edit and produce. I'm also busy managing the community, our monthly challenges and a million other things. I do all this by myself in my spare time while working as a freelance artist. I'd love to do this full time and give you guys everything you need so hopefully if we keep growing that will be possible;) Our upcoming Octane course will definitely cover loads of things people have been asking for;) Glad you're loving the videos so far though;)

I use Octane to render all of my stuff as in my opinion it's the fastest (and easiest) renderer available. It does require the correct NVidia GPU setup though if it's something you wanted to look into. You can find more information here: home.otoy.com/render/octane-render/ and if you go down that path we have training for Octane on our website here: cgshortcuts.com/courses/the-octane-materials-masterclass/ We also hope to do more rendering tutorials soon! Hi Justin, I started with Max and Maya back in the day too, I think you'll pick up C4D easy coming from there. Are you talking about local and world transform? If so you can toggle that up the top next to the XYZ button (The coordinate system button) Hope that helps, thanks for wathcing!

it's a wrong move on the 3:31. you should not move points on that bezel facet or else your square will not be perfectly flat. I've done some jewelry projects for a client and that is a wrong technique to model a perfect diamond. a little misplaced vertex points will have a huge impact on the refraction if you're doing a diamond for jewelry.
