Excellent. I'm just wondering, why not use the rope dynamics? I'm trying that out, but the rope does not connect to the mic.. At least your set up works but I don't understand why rope tag falls to the ground..

Rope dynamics can act a bit funny sometimes, I found this method more stable

Go back to the first frame and you should be able to, or you could disable the dynamics temporarily

hello. I have applied all the steps and got a satisfactory result. Thank you. I encountered a problem while displaying the render animation. The ropes do not move. I have converted it to bake to as abc But that didn't work.

how to fix the problem at 4.00 where the cable just hangs straight down? there needs to be a lot more stiffness so the very end of the cable stays parallel to the mic

I use Cinema 4d professionally for over than 10 years and I still learn new things. Like usage of that Mograph selection and the part which I've watched with my mouth open: converting voronoi fracture to fracture to edit its UV and with still working dynamics. 😯😮😲

How many GB's of RAM I need to do something like that? Just short animations with 3D. I was planning to use 48GB but someone said to me that 96GB is the minimum if I want to make something good.

I have 64GB of Ram and my GPU has 32GB of Ram and I've never had a problem - you can always upgrade your RAM later on

I think the day has arrived when Blender surpasses C4D in a few things. This effect can be like 300% faster and easier achieved in Geo Nodes + keeps everything procedural so you can change the text at any point.

ATTENTION! I have been working with space mouses for over 25 years and can't praise the thing enough. BUT the molded on rubbery surface on these will dissolve into a oily smudge over time. Buy the smaller one and avoid the headache. I got the SpaceMouse PRO and had to peel off all the rubbery goo in the end.

@@anyakeyton5247 I think I baked the clothsim to keyframes then I made a second still copy with the dropping steps, and morphed from the animated one to the still one using fields. I think the exact setup is in the project file
