nothing in particular, play around with custom roms, just try things from xda forums and in a few weeks you can actually make the video on how to overclock :D its scary at first but rooting and everything gets simple real soon :) enjoy brother! :)

With samsung devices there is a counter that increases when u root it, you will get it when u watch the unroot tutorial, just watch my unroot tut once, the link is in the description, if you still have doubts post back :)

Just a heads up. Newer versions of Odin (3.07 currently) displays a BLUE box instead of a YELLOW one just like in this video. A blue box indicates that your device is connected properly and is ready for rooting.

Hi Ash, HUGE thanks!! Great presentation that saved my arse :-) Dug out the old GT-N8010 (Note 10.1 Tab) after some years in storage. So happy to be getting some value out of the tablet after so long. So now the tab is successfully rooted and TWRP (ver 2.8.6.0) is my bootloader, will go install a Custom ROM... Alejandro, this is for both. To update, you have to unroot to the latest android version (get it online) or just unroot it to the file in his unroot video and then update it from your note 10.1 's updater then root again. If you want unlimited multi window go to Google play search up 'samsung multi window manager' but it needs root so make sure to do this last. Hope that helped.

I forgot to say that if you're using ODIN to flash from your PC as Ash demonstrates, make sure you d/l a .tar (tar file extension for you model) NOT the .img (image) file versions of TWRP found at that page I mentioned below. The .img are valid BUT they are for a different TWRP installation method. Read the intro text at top of page and all should be clear-ish...

Hey buddy, quick question..i've seen n8000 and n8020 models for the galaxy 10.1,, my question is that on amazon some are selling a china version and some buyers are complaining that their n8000 does not work really well in the US. it can browse the web but with limitations. I'm planning to buy a n8000 model on amazon but hesitant to buy due to the reviews. Will your method on rooting work on the n8000 and will not have restrictions. I live in the US using At&T as my cellphone carrier

So I just did this and I could not get past my disk encryption after I restarted. Basically after I rooted the device, it restarted and asked me for my encryption key, and when I entered the key in it tells me to try again.

HELP PLEASE what if i had samsung kies installed already and the boxes were blank in Odin and as soon as i started uninstalling kies, ID com8 appeared yellow and Odin tells me it was added. Do i still need to reinstall samsung kies and reboot my computer or the fact that it is yellow means i now have the neccesary drivers even withouth samsung kies? coz i have my note 10.1 connected to my computer in "Downloading" Odin mode and i dont know what exactly to do from here (

I closed the odin and restarted the loading. It showed in the message bar- all threads completed. I tried to turn my galaxy note on while the downloading... do not turn off target is still at the center but it didn't turn on, what can I do? I can't buy or repair it again, I don't want my parents to cost so much money. Please help me and reply as quickly as possible
