Thanks for the videos Roger. I bought my Vette 2 years ago, and I had to upgrade the headlights (bulbs only, not the entire assembly) almost right away in order to safely drive it at night. If I was doing it all over, I would follow the approach in your video and replace all of the front lights at the same time instead of piecemeal. The popup arm also hit my driver's side high beam housing (LasFit), so I switched it back to stock bulbs.

I agree the stock lights are lacking. I’ll have a video in the coming weeks explaining why bulbs alone only get you so far. Basically a lot of light less tamed. I just corresponded with Sharp Light Innovations and they have or will be releasing a newer version with improved bi-LED performance. Maybe your delay will play to your advantage!

Why thank you! I am the fortunate recipient of a particularly well kept example provided by a close friend who babied his car (29K miles in 2022) and needed to sell due to moving to a farm. I’ll have some new content, some sharing my ideas of the C5 in general, and perhaps a few more improvements. They really are delightful cars! Please be patient as this is a “Tinkering” channel and not Am corvette channel; some hope you’ll join in on the non-Vette content as well.

Great ! I have a C6 but when I saw your C5, it blew me away!!! Every C6 owner wishes they had a C5 as well. I know I do !!! Will keep my eye out for your videos ! Thanks !!

@dkw6227 …and every C5 owner sees the C6 as an evolution of the C5. If the C6 had flip up lights; you’d have the best of both! I’ll try to post something this evening for you.

Does it really take 4 or more videos to go over headlights??

That’s a creative decision. Some gloss over the details, some shoot for entertainment, others go for detail and let folks fast-forward thru sections they don’t need to see. I made the decision to release videos as I completed a few days worth of work rather than delaying 4 weeks to show any. You may not care for the upcoming piece discussing lug nuts…..
