Idea for the rocker panels: you might want to put some foam tape at the contact patch to the chassis to avoid them rattling.

Love that so many people think Taylor doesn’t know about a pull type master, and miss that he says he doesn’t want the lines routed so far through the cabin. 😂 One suggestion though is you might want to get copper for a backing plate. We usually use copper or the disposable ceramic stuff, but a chunks of copper or brass does as good as the ceramic, and lasts a lifetime. My only concern about aluminum is being aware that aluminum and stainless both off-gas toxins when you weld on them. I don’t wear a respirator either, but it’s good to avoid breathing more of that stuff than you have to.

Tip If you need to keep panels from vibrating or moving around or set gaps etc Use some RTV and food wrap film. Put a blob of RTV where you need it put the film over it then put the panel on . You can put a blob of RTV on the panel too to make it stick slightly.

If you buy a Bridgeport you can literally prototype and mill your own custom billet fixtures.... you can use the digital positioning readout to measure your hole position on the table. Hand drilling holes is "good enough for the girls were going for" as the construction guys say but getting not just a drill press but an industrial milling machine would take your fab game over 9000.

Now the progress goes quickly. One thing I noticed; Your handbrake still moves a bit laterally. The mounting bracket is stiff enough, but where you mounted that to the transtunnel is basically an un-stiff plate. That may become an issue. Not for failure, but for the feel of the handbrake while using it.

Hey some tips on that Astro Rivnut tool, clutch your drill to the point just above the clutch engages. You want it to clutch a little, but you literally just give her the beans and it should compress and reverse in one full pull. I sell/use these and they’re great, they like the sauce with a little clutching. The builds looking badass, keep it up!

you can bend the shifter close the where it hooks up to the linkage that way it will come closer and more toward you so its no reach to shift intoo 3 and 5 as for the handbrake , looks like theres enough space in the trans tunnel ti have the hydraulics under the coverplate

Good bits mean the world. I needed five 1 1/2" holes in some 1/4" steel plates so I ordered a decent hole saw. I was skeptical but it was money well spent. The fifth hole took 9 seconds. I was afraid I'd need more than one saw to finish but I finished with a hole saw I can still use for a future project. It was a $40 saw but worth every penny. The five holes paid for it. It owes me nothing from here on out. lol By the way, you be surprised how many tools I've bought because of your videos. Appreciate it.

I feel like a rod of that length will flex and introduce some inconsistency in feel. Perhaps you can consider a cantilever mechanism and mount the cylinder vertically in the tunnel, thus maintaining a firm feel. OR you can weld another tab off the bottom of the lever, remake the mounts higher, and mount the cylinder on the firewall side.
