This guy may not know it. But he's a proper good teacher. He hits the mark for me with his easy but direct style.

9.04. HOLY CRAP!!!! Listen to it till you hear the distortion and bite on it!!! I was using my C6 Saturday night and the lead singers voice had the same bite to it!!! I thought it was the SSL channel but it was the C6!!!!! KILLER! This is what I have been trying to achieve live for so long!!!!

I love my old TC Triple C. Waves takes it much further. I wasn't happy with the solo'd vocal, but in the mix it was great. Nothing missing, nothing stuck out. It let the lyrics and the emotion come through to the listener.. Well done.

You solo the bands so that you can hear what each is doing. I did this in sound check Saturday night and the singers voice was very smooth as he went through his different vocal registers. You need to know how the compressor mishandling the X-Over ranges on the PA.

Exactly. A lot of people are now preoccupied with the clearness of the song more than an song it self.

Would you mind explaining how to use the A.B. function, I know how to bypass something but I swear I cannot figure out the AB dealio
@snyshieboo6 жыл бұрын
Steve Stockmal so let's say you chose to eq the vocal an aggressive way, lots of low frequencies carved out and a heavy low cut filter. You like the sound, but want to try a different approach. Maybe one where you boosts the upper mid frequencies and left the low frequencies in tact. Well... with a/b you can try one style, then press the a/b button and do another style. After you can compare and see which one you like. So you have two different eq settings switching between. Bypass would let you choose 'eq on' and 'eq off'. Understand?

I prefer other multiband compressors of Waves because is more transparent than c6 or c6 sidechain ,this plugging create a phase problems and destroying exitement

Wrong already...Range cntrol has been on C4 for a while now...so his statement at 1:50 is incorrect about Range control being someting new in C6

what does he mean by hurt (?) frequencies? 4:51
@DaRevolutionist899 жыл бұрын
+In The Wild they are frequencies that our ears are the most sensitive to, if they're turned up too high or mixed wrong, they hurt the ears of everyone.

You haven't lived till you hear 2k screech through a PA at 110 dB!!! The crowd was literally covering there ears and I almost hit the ground it hurt so band. I was looking around at what our sound man was doing to the crowd and they were covering there ears cause it was so loud and was screeching so hard. Needles to say I no longer work for that company. I don't need to damage my reputation, and hearing.

The beauty of Black Metal is that it's sounds great unmastered. I'm listening to black metal for soooooo long and i found that the any black metal song thats have great mastering on it self like Immortals song Blashyrkh lose the power of black metal. But a little mastering is necessery, so you can hear every instrument in the track.

Most of the church pop music is so harsh and tense, you need lots of processing to tame it.
