That is a real QR code used in manufacturing, which is where QR codes originated. It is used for inventory management (everything from inventory stock and control, to ensuring the correct parts are installed during assembly). Marketing QR codes are an adaptation of the technology and your phone may not be able to recognize the old school manufacturing style codes.

iPhones will read QR but you have to zoom or position so that nothing but the QR is in the view finder and on certain models you have to use the Apple Wallet app instead of the camera app

There is a setting in camera for iPhones. “Scan QR Code” should be set to on. Keep up the great vids 👍🏼
