My friend who’s paralyzed waist down has a ‘13 ZO6, the VA paid to do an automatic conversion and install hand controls for him. Another friend, also paralyzed, has a LS powered ‘69 Z/28. And yes, I’m also paralyzed, and own a ‘10 SS/2RS Camaro, ordered it from the factory. Needless to say it’s a hoot to have all three of us out on the road together or having dinner together at a restaurant/bar.

This car is so iconic ! In its time it was one of the fastest production cars to lap the Nürburgring and also one of the fastest cars around the Top Gear Test Track, all while running on run flat tires! No R compound Pirelli P Zeros like it'd competitors. You mentioned the top speed of over 190, Chevrolet had a chance to make this the first 200 mile per hour factory Corvette but Tadge Juechter, the genius behind the Corvette wanted better brake cooling so he sacrificed that extra top speed for that iconic 200 mark so it would be a better track performer! This incredible car had at 50 50 weight distribution and only weighed a little over 3000 pounds! LEGEND! PS: Also this 500 horsepower track weapon AVOIDED America's infamous Gas Guzzler Tax because that LS7 is so efficient🤯

Bro my brother bought this EXACT same car brand new in 2007. Black on black, 6 speed manual, Z06 with the polished wheels, and he garaged that car, loved it so much, then sold it at 5,000 miles to buy a ZL1 Camaro. He paid $86,000 for that car...cash too. Lucky MFer. Now he has a 2023 Cadillac CTSV Blackwing in that electric blue color...it's SO sick. He also has a 74 Camaro Z28 that is FULLY restored, then restomodded with flush mount glass, C5 Corvette door handles, a 425 HP 10:1 355 SBC with an Eaton 4 speed manual. Good steal. As a Vette enthusiast, I'm very pleased you grabbed this one. Took a field trip in college as a Machine Tool Technology student and it was a company called Akebono. It was a Japanese owned plant in SC that made the calipers and various other things for the braking systems on the C6 Z06 and ZR1. Very neat to see and get to hold and examine parts for a ZR1 before they are assembled.

Awesome buy dude, a buddy of mine had one and I ended up driving it more than him and absolutely fell in love. They aren’t hit you in the face powerful but the power just builds all the way to redline. Did St Louis to Chicago in it in 2.5 hours amazing car. Only complaint is the first three gears could be a bit shorter, you wind out first and you’re already at expressway speeds top of second you’re in jail. Congrats

"Eeevery day is a bad bad bad day" Nein! I took the afternoon off and made myself be lazy. Watched Stay Tuned, VGG and Frieburger. Good way to wrap up this day methinks. This C6 has almost as many miles on it as my winter beater which isn't expected from a Vette or a Jeep Liberty either for that matter. But for some strange reason the Z06 is more appealing. Odd, that. Great score.
