In fact this engine (which was written from clean for Vendetta) was then used for The Last Ninja 3 later, without the car levels engine of course :).

I love how the main dude's physique is that of a down syndrome who dressed himself, attacking thugs with a banana :D joking aside though, amazing game for its time. The opening is VERY atmospheric

Was that police stop an actual gameplay element or was it some form of anti-piracy protection? What about the password on the computer? I remember really wanting to play this game, but it'd always crash when the car part loaded in.

It's a gameplay element to ensure you pick up everything. On each driving section, you'll get pulled over and asked for a piece of evidence that you (hopefully) collected whilst on foot. The password on the computer is random with each game, you just need to use the computer manual in-game to find what it is.

ElCriticoCitrico77 It's similar however the Vendetta engine is inferior because you can only walk in straight lines and turn your character 90 degrees at a time. With the LN games, you can change direction as you're walking and adjust to any angle.

Looks like the same screen build-up as LN except the side bar is gone thus there's more on the screen.
