Gone far too young. Rock on man. I was lucky enough to inherit a Yamaha TX81 when I started work at Gremlin in the early 90's. On the underside of the synth, in marker pen, was written 'Ben'. A fond memory of holding an instrument used by a musical hero of mine. I wonder where that synth is now..

I thorougly enjoyed this - I used to play the last ninja as a kid, a LOT. I did beat the game but it took me ages. This was wonderful to listen to, but made me choke when I saw your tribute to Ben Danglish. I am typing this through tears. He made my last ninja game come alive. Thanks. Going to play again. Such a gifted Song writer. And programmer! These days it's an easy thing to get from 'idea' to production. Back then it was shaving away as much possible to fit sounds in. How He did what He did is truly amazing!!!

I met Ben Daglish in Norway 2018. He almost got a heart attack. I used a Olympus camera to photo Ben Daglish, Rob Hubbard and matt Gray on same picture with me. Daglish. WOW. A real camera....Ben said. So fucking cool. Noone uses real cameras anymore. I said to Ben. You just don't use a fucking phone camera on true legends.

Daglish, Hubbard, and Galway to me were the pinnacle of 8-bit British music scene. Yes, I'm quite aware of guys like The Follin Brothers, Matt Gray, Fred Gray, , David Whittaker, etc., who were also great, but Daglish, Hubbard, and Galway were the ones who paved the way for those other guys

I remember reading a Zzap 64! article about him in the 80s where the usual crew at the magazine got together with Ben (and I think maybe Rob Hubbard was there also not 100% sure) and they all had a good laugh, it was a joy to read. RIP C64 musical legend.
