The time has finally come for me to start detailing the Corvette. Luckily the wheel cleaning will be fairly easy since they are brand new and have already been coated with Crystal Serum Ultra. I also wanted to go over how and when I've picked up all these steps over the past 20+ years.

I'd like to offer a suggestion - I like to fill my bottles with water and then add the product for dilution. I can then cap the bottle and shake it to mix. I haven't had to deal with suds in the bottles since doing so and the products seem to blend quicker.

Put some 15’s on it with some fat slicks. That’s how most corvette owners get rid of the wheel gap.

Regarding the exhaust, dont most of them deepen in sound with milage. I know my DP’s did. Raspy anyways but they definitely deepened up with miles.

OMG the wheel gap isnt THAT BAD... Ya know, you could have gone with a taller wheel and tire combo to close the wheel gap without taking the chassis any lower... Just sayin.

When you choose a larger wheel, you would appropriately size the tire sidewall to retain the original sizing. Otherwise you end up with an inaccurate speedometer. On a car the wheel well would be have very little extra room for larger tire and would add considerable unsprung weight.

@@ObsessedGarage I won't argue the unsprung weight issue, that's for sure. Though I will contest the idea that a larger diameter tire at a given ride height is no different than a shorter tire at a lower ride height. Regardless how you get there the relationship between tire and fender or wheel gap seems to be the point of contention here. I often say that a wheel gap that is balanced front to rear as well as vertically seems to be the most aesthetically pleasing to me. Yes, I know wheel openings aren't a perfect radius like the tire but I think you understand what I'm saying. Nobody likes the look of a too small wheel/tire tucked inside the fender like a 13" wire wheel on a Honda dragging the ground... The speedometer issue is an easy fix.

Headers don't make the tone, the mid-pipe and rear section do.

I’ve heard the Corsa in person and in video on many different cars, with stock and aftermarket headers and it does not sound raspy. Certain headers/exhaust combos just don’t work on these cars. If you listen to one with just Kooks headers and factory exhaust, it sounds raspy but throw a decent exhaust on it and it cleans right up

Man I love my dialed-in sweat shirt so that is the first thing I noticed in this video; I’ve got one in that same blue. Sounds silly, but it is probably my favorite piece of clothing. Somehow it breathes well but also keeps you warmer than any other zip-up hoodie I’ve owned. Thanks for applying the process even to the clothes Matt!

I love my Corvette. Couldn't drive it at factory height. Took screws all the way down. Then had frame savers put on to keep from scraping car.

There is a bolt on the stock c7 suspension, you can lower the car with adjusting.. might be able to get less the wheel gap.

Matt, you sure about the Brake Buster not degrading the wheel coating at all? Others have reported it to be quite harsh.

Not necessarily remove, but degrade at some accelerated pace relative to other wheel cleaning products that are totally safe for coatings.
