Track videos like this make me even more eager to get some good tires and take my '00 C5 to the NCM track.

Our SCCA Track Nights start at 1300 and end at 1700. Very manageable.

We'll be ready for April track day for sure

cool track day video!... did you have the disk brake "rings" installed before? that would help with cooling...
@KnightDriveTV7 ай бұрын
We just bought it and ran it as is. Next track video in late April will have it "prepped" at same track, so we'll see the difference

Man that looks like so much fun. I wish we had something out here close so I could give that a try lol. But it looks like it’s hot laps on the interstate for me.😂😊

Sometimes there are hidden tracks where you least expect them. There are definitely some autocross events near most people, so you can also check into that. Motorsportreg.com is a website that will show all track type of events in your area, with a mileage radius. Check on there.

i feel like that is damn good time for 540 tw all season. interested to see what you do in the c5 when you go back. one day we are gonna have to get some track time in together. i get a little turned up, a little mad at those tires just watching track videos. wondering if a c5 will fit in a uhaul, haha.

The C7 is pretty quick and geared pretty well. I am very surprised how well the car turns in. It seems very willing to rotate and it's very stable and well balanced. The tire is actually pretty impressive, but admittedly, it breaks away fast and unexpectedly. They dont give off much noise or warning, and then they will let go. Alignment check/tweak and brakes/fluid, and I am looking forward to seeing where I end up. I will then swap tires and see where it puts things. The c7 is so damn cramped though, its very unfortunate. It would be a real contender to my c5z as a track car, but I can't fit in it, so that kind of seals the deal for me. My head was against the roof the entire day.

@@KnightDriveTV that does suck being cramped in. Pretty sure amt seat mounts in c5-c8 if it would be worth swapping around.

This could have been a catastrophe. Gotta freshen up that brake fluid before a track day. The higher quality, the better.

C7 and my C5Z will return to this track in April. The C7 will be ready, possibly with new parts on board, but definitely with new fluid and pads...lol!

Max DIN is in my future for sure. I’ve never seen a car where Crutchfield said “there is no replacement for your stereo” before the C7. WTH?

When is that replacement max din going to be available for the C7 ???

Best way to let you know is sub to the channel. I get a lot of messages and knowing how to reach individual people definitely isnt reliable..lol

If its running warm in these temps, you'll have major issues in 80 plus temps. Any stability control can cause brake overheating issues....for good drivers it's safer to run with everything "off". If this was an advanced group, I'm concerned at how off line and distracted a lot of these drivers were. Yikes.

Yeah, as were a few of us. Most people were pretty aware, but once I dove up behind a few of them, they'd be offline and nearly off the track. Most people at least had general awareness, but maybe too much. I was surprised by the oil temps for sure...it wasn't a hot day at all. We'll see in April, what happens.
