Was back and forth about whether ppf is worth it after reading braying opinions on the forums. I ended up doing it and this is a prime example of it not being a waste of money. Glad it minimized the damages to only the windshield

It’s been fixed for a little bit just took me a while to post. Able to do everything but windshield and I almost tried that but chose to let the professionals do it

Road hazards are normally covered at 100%. I would at lest call my agent.

I totally think it would be covered. It’s more about the hassle for me and long term cost of a claim. I am not very trusting with others especially shops having my car due to past experiences. This was a bit more than I thought it was going to be (windshield and install ended up being higher) but I think long term less costs and less stress doing myself (didn’t install windshield myself , but everything else). Plus to be honest I enjoy learning the ins and outs of the car.

I have a 2024 C8 and have a trip planned in late May. First time with it on the interstate driving from Georgia to Ohio. My biggest concern is debris flying up and damaging the car.

Next time I’m ppf the whole car. Wouldn’t have saved the windshield or headlight but def the quarter panel scratch . My daily isn’t ppf and I have 25K on it and the front end looks like I hit it with a sand blaster. If you can get a quick track wrap on it I would do it prior to doing the drive. 500 bucks well spent.

Retreads are dangerous. They are everywhere now. Hit one in my truck and it almost made me wreck. Damaged my running board. Can you imagine what it would do to a motorcycle? Retreads have reappeared after being gone for years. They should be illegal.
