before I even watch video, depends how the motor was setup/built for 1971 Nova

I’ve slowed it down. Powerglide instead of th350 and 12 bolt instead of 10 . Did those things for nitrous passes because I was breaking shit. Unfortunately those two things slowed it’s all motor capability by adding weight and less gearing. It’s also heavy w full interior and basically no weight reduction . Best nitrous pass is 6.28 1/8 best motor pass 6.78 1/8 mile.

@@Brandonsgarages awesome job still yet, like you said in video, hard to make comparison with the road in poor condition lol, that's only thing I ever hated being involved with builds from ground up trying too get everything to hook up on track can make one go mad because like you said, cheap metals break rofl, but at least for now we can blame cheap metal still awesome job dude, because doing that is not cheap by no stretch so keep them tires smoking and thanks for sharing

Yes it was the traction control was really being cautious. Usually runs much faster .

Man old stuff is cool but your average Joe small block cruiser like these just can’t compete with modern technology. Tune only Camaros and mustangs run faster times that with heated and cooled leather. Hell my buddies 10r80 car went 11.20 @ 126 with just a tune and headers

@@Brandonsgarages I had at the time what I thought was a pretty decent fox body, 306 with some trick flow heads, decent intake etc etc. Ran 12.30’s around 113 pretty consistently. I thought that thing was so badass and a kid in a bolt on e85 s550 mustang raced me on the highway and stomped my shit. I was like 👁️ 👃 👁️

@@bigdaddypatty2420 same here. Had a 87 trans am tune port. All the mods I could do , ran low 7s 1/8 mile on nitrous and stock cars galore would smoke it now. Thought it was fast as hell at the time.
