I dropped by Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City to take a buddy to lunch, in a new Corvette Z06! We also checked out a modified 911 Porsche, a 1966 Hemi Charger, and more. Let's do this! Edited by VideoGuru:videoguru.page...

Grew up a motorhead in the mid/late 70's. Our nights out were cruising and hanging at the local McDonalds parking lot. Had one buddy who had a Dart with a slant six in it. He had a helluva sense of humor. Great guy. So, he bolted a vel stack to the hood (yes, bolted right on to the hood), and he figured out that if he'd shut the engine off, pump the gas pedal, then switch it back on and put it in gear, he could get it to backfire. So, when the motorheads would cruise around reving their engines or chirping the tires between shifts, that was his trademark.....barrel into the parking lot coasting, then a loud backfire.

@@markosborne6559 Such a great era for Mopar. I'd have to get a 440 with a 4-speed. Thanks again!

@@mohawkgarage In 68' I was in fifth grade my best friend's dad had a new Charger, yellow black vinyl top black interior. That was my favorite car for many years.

@markosborne6559 Good choice! I've had very few Mopars. Trucks, Valiants, Darts... My main interests are Corvettes, early Camaros, and pickups. I like 'em all, though!

I remember my mom and dad went to Atlantic City Steel Pier Car show in 1965 , and that was my very first introduction to the Car Show for the 1966 New Dodge Charger. I was 12 years old . I'm now 70 years old.

@MetalMania3DTV-TAS-AUS The Hemi Charger is super nice in person. There were also two 1967 Corvettes inside with 435hp 427 big blocks, another one with a full swap out of a C7 Corvette, a stunning 1969 Camaro Z/28 and lots more. Have a great night, my friend!

@mohawkgarage I'm 63, I was 15 and worked 2 paper routes for 2 years saved every penny. 1976, I bought my first car a beautiful, badass, 1968 Charger R/T 440 - 4 speed Dana. I drove it for about 2 months and It was totalled by a drunk driver rear-ended me at around 45 MPH. Buddy, I cried like a baby for days. Thanks for the video.!!

@Scott-vc7ro Oh, man! A '68 Charger R/T with a 440 and a clutch! Man, I'm not sure I would have ever gotten over that. Glad you were okay, though!
