Hey Rick! Another fun one today! Here are my thoughts on C9. I love myC8 so this is a short list! 1. Maybe an easier way to drain/ fill transmission fluid. 2. A few more storage type pockets in the cabin 3. Dash cam system that goes all around the car, when parked. front sides and rear. Integrate it with the pdr. 4. Choice of tire on the ordering system. Just a few thoughts. Again I really like my C8 it’s a fantastic ride! 👍😎

My suggestions for the C9….standard intercooler/radiator protection, an overall lighter car, less fussy rear end design, an available option for carbon flash painted front splitter and side skirts on Stingray and more aggressive wheel offsets!

Hi Rick Every time I see one of your videos it makes me want to hop in my Freaking Z06.! You are right I have never driven any Vette as much as the C8. Grab handle for passenger, remove the lines from body and smooth it out like a Ferrari like Everyday Driver showed via his 3D software Lower the ride height & flush the rims from factory. Make the stealth interior default & chrome the option. Better colors!! A REAL purple like Plum Crazy from Dodge! Copper & lizard green with metal flake.

Happy early anniversary Rick! I am happy that you aren’t ready to retire , and so are thousands of my fellow followers of yours. As far as change, I would really like to see chrome, strong wheels as an option and for sure , Chevrolet needs to end the restrictions ! I just can’t imagine there is enough demand for a manual that Chevrolet would make the massive changes needed to develop a car that will have limited demand and cannot perform as well as the dct. I love my manual 2015 z51 convertible that has barely 10k miles on it. I would love to acquire an eray, love the all wheel drive. I think electric cars are going to not be on a great demand in the near future. The hybrid makes total sense! My 460 hp engine with the Soler on it will do all I really need to do at pretty much all times. Thanks again for the Soler review and recommendation. Richard in Central Texas. My C9 wishlist would be: smaller, lighter, same power to weight, manual transmission option in both the base and Z06. Z06 needs similar engine (8k+ rpm redline). For styling, I would like to see the curves of the C5 revisited.

Rick, great topic! It’s difficult to imagine how GM could improve Corvette. The C8 really has been perfect, and a dream come true for so many of us. Regarding C9, obviously it has to be a mid engine platform. V8 is a must. Manual transmission option would be nice, but probably not realistic. I’d love to see the C9 Stingray with a wider stance for aesthetics. Perhaps a full exposed carbon fiber option for C9 ZR1.

Hi Rick, thanks for answering my question on the Eray and the Soler protection throttle controller. The things I’d like to see on the C9 is having the side air scoops, behind the doors, moved to the top of the quarter panels. That probably would require getting away from the stealth body of the C8 a little and smoothing out the body lines like a certain Italian manufacturer. Also, can we paleeease return to the round taillights. Thanks for everything you do. You have been the most accurate corvette source on KZbin. I hope you have no plans on retiring anytime soon😎

Hey Rick, I agree with your rationale regarding a potential manual transmission in the C8 platform, with the exception of your issue with the limited space in the footwell. Manual transmission sport cars historically have had limited footwell space for the third (clutch) pedals, however most of those cars never had a “dead pedal” either. Pantera’s have had such limited space that the pedals are positioned so far to the right that the drivers sit at a slight angle. Quite awkward, at first but you get used to it. So, it can be possible but, I’m not sure the pleasure would be worth it pain.

One touch capability with top up and down. For us shorter guys make the sun. I I or a little smaller. With sit up and visor down you can’t see out the windshield. BTW solar Egan e throttle is awesome

I love the C8, and for the C9 I would like to see an all electric or extended-range plug-in hybrid option. I know many people will say "no way", but some of us including me want that option in our next Z06 I'll be buying in 2033. I want full self-driving Super Cruise for traffic and long drives but I don't want to pay extra for it. I agree that dealers pricing over MSRP should be banned.

Better quality phone system. The current one is not as good as the C7 system when the top is down. Callers on the other end complaining about to much wind noise. Never heard that in my C7 convertible.

Rick C9 or C10 a lower CD. Sleeker lower slung more hunkered down with an elongated rear shorter front area like the McLaren Speed Tail but a corvette style/ flair say a modern interpretation of the Corvette CERV III dodge M4S generally that type of aero and look direction something futuristic! Clamshell or scissor doors. Lighter weight 3200-3300 curb weight. LT3 engine 6.6 or 6.2 liter engine or 5.7

Rick, The C9 should have these std features 1. front lift, 2. adjustable suspension, 3. front grill guards, 4. EZ oil drain and filter change, 5. get rid of the great wall of switches, 6. put passenger left arm rest, and as a personal favorite brig back Night Race Blue.

Revamping the "wall of buttons" to make it less claustrophobic for the passenger, like the C7. I understand that the design is catered to the driver (as it should be). In fact, I like the driver's seat better in the C8 than my C7....it's actually roomier in the C8 IMO. The other suggestion, some sort of drain/runoff by the rear window on the HTC. From what I've seen, water accumulates/puddles up in that area. My 2 cents

Bigger brakes. Unless you buy a Z06 the little brake rotors look ridiculous on the Stingrays past and present. Big wheels. Big brakes. My first Corvette was a 2005. After exhaust I searched until I found a set of used Z06 brakes for sale. What a huge difference!! I was going to order a C8 when they came out until I saw the brakes. Not giving up my C7 Z with carbon ceramics to pay 160k to get the same car a C8 Z with the Z07 option !!

I think if they could make the C9 body wider is always good and make the body design where there is not so much gap between the top of the tires and the fenders. And also on convertibles have a clear glass panel so you can see thru to the motor. One more thing offer a lime green color.

Hi Rick, Here are a couple of things that I would like to see in future Corvettes. I love the rear view mirror camera, but it doesn't work with the HTC top down. The backup camera would be a nice alternative, but it is disabled when driving. How about the option of all season tires on a Z51? I'm still enjoying my 2021 - Thanks!

Suggestion for C9 would be increased more downforce, where financially feasible Use less chips in the car for example just because you can open the door with a push button doesn’t mean it’s better than a latch. Emergency brake doesn’t need to be electronic. Less is more

I want the Corvette C9 engine to be an ICE engine. For added launch performance we need four huge watch springs mounted in each wheel. Engage the locks to them, back up to wind them up tight, Lock the tension. Release the tension at the launch along with the ICE engine. Better have your head on the headrest.

Hey Rick....how about a real COPO CORVETTE, on the scale of the COPO Camaro? 2 versions, 1 for track and one for drags. Since there is no trouble mating a 1064HP twin turbo to a trans and suspension, how about a 632 C.I. BIG BLOCK N/A at over 1000hp, drag radials (car specific) light weight BODY PANELS, cut out all the frills like the Demon170 did, etc. I see on KZbin a guy actually put a big block in a C8, so if a HOT RODDERS can do it, sure the factory could do the same. Hell Ford selling MUSTANG GTD'S for $300+K with only 810hp and they have CRAZY Ford guys waiting in line for one! Can you imagine what a RACE Specific, FROM CHEVY DIRECTLY could do, and UNDERCUT Fords price by $50,000!!!!

We need a factory super charged C9 with a hybrid front wheel drive option for all trim levels. We also need the ability to lower and raise the side windows by way of the remote key fob. Finally all cars should come with some type of front driving/fog lights similar to what you have on your Rapid Blue C8 by Paragon.

I’ll add my 2 cents, I think the C8 Stingray is about to meet the saturation point. Dealerships new C8 inventories are excessive, some are selling 3LT Stingrays going for $109,000! If anyone wants a new 2025 Stingray they are going for 10-15% less MSRP at the top vette dealership. So, a refresh is inevitable but is it enough to attract new buyers, yes and no there are some on the sideline waiting but not enough interest to have previous C8 owners to trade in for a substantial loss. IMO, the C9 should have a new body design similar to the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport add turbo charging to all models (hell Kia adds TC to family vehicles). GM has to hit it out of the park for the C9. Also, manual trans is a waste of time and money and would cater to a select few. Also, say bye to all electric vettes now trump is prez. Hybrid would be more like it but not in a vette.

Please place the volume knob on the lower right of the info display. Figure out a better way to get Onstar without all the crazy options. To sink the whole nav just to sell more Onstar, for example, is outrageous. Also - put that little 2.5mm input jack back - for pete's sake. It would be great if they could figure out how to get both golf clubs and the roof panel in the trunk at the same time.
