The US is big, and the servers aren’t located to give equal ping to everyone. Add inters, trolls and stream snipers to the mix and you will understand why pros don’t play and/or stream solo queue anymore. Enter Tournament realm, a ”secret” server where only a select few (pro players) have access, and you will understand that these matches have higher skill and better communication, not to mention more centred ping. The tournament realm is made for teams to be able to scrim each other on patches which the tournaments are played on. This way the teams at worlds for example can train with champions and items on a specific patch, without having to bother with the changes on the live servers. The pros either scrim with their teams against each other, or mix up the teams. There is only one problem though, you haven’t been allowed to stream on this platform...until now. The tournament realm is also used for Riot’s official tournaments, both small and large, but the pros in this case use it mainly for practice

Because NA uses academy as a way for older players to retire rather than to train new talent. There’s loads of ex lcs pro players on academy teams.

10 players who are signed to a team. Yup this seems like a good way of fixing your region. I don't know if all tr games are like this but if you want to improve the region you HAVE to invite challenger players. Also don't only play TR play fill in soloQ since noone knows other roles in NA. You can also play fill in tr ofcourse.

Dang.. NA looks.. interesting. Personally I think this tournament realm is gonna make the league worse over all. Seems like an entitled/spoiled request to be able to use this (I understand it's better ping but ping is not what is holding NA back, stop kidding yourselves). TR Isolates competition. If this becomes what pros only play on. They are gonna almost always be behind or slow on what the meta is.

@@timeless1882 I dont care if they use it for practice and scrims. This is being talked about in a way of replacing solo queue for "more competitive games". You're isolating a player base from the rest of rising competition which the region already lacks. You limited the players and playstyles you expose yourself too. CoreJJ explained why this is not a way to improve the region on his Twitter and its 100% accurate. If you watch this video. And further comments agree, with the exception of sneaky akaadian and froggen, this looked like god awful gameplay. The only people this is benefitting is the people they're shitting on.

Riot can consider implementing a queue system and then opening up the tournament realm to players that are Diamond I and above. That would make it easier for us to scout NA talent and that way the pro players would be guaranteed to have a competitive environment in the tournament realm.
