Purging that pipe with an Argon back-up would have helped with the appearance of the outside weld as well, as the inside of the pipe would have been clean and shiny. I've been teaching high school welding for many years, and it's rare when I get students with your abilities and attention to quality. Back in the 70s, we used to build Jeeps in our small garage, so I know how lucky you are to have access to so much knowledge and a great facility to learn in. Love the channel.

I know Tucker’s truck is making smoke but if the floor being warm on the passenger side is a problem you may wanna first try header wrap, or consider ceramic coating the pipes. I have to say that Tucker face certainly did light up when Kevin wacked the throttle and he saw the “How dare you’s” come out of that pretty stainless exhaust tip.
