Greed is what kills fools. This couple deserves the full cash in the end. The criminal in jail was happy to split it with the couple knowing it's lost and found treasure miracle. But the foolish interloper fucked up everything for him. Great film for sure.

His twin brother sort of did the same thing to him that he did to the big guy at the start of the movie he manipulated him into destroying himself just to be the left one standing and ensure he'll get half of the money. He took the bullets out of the guys gun and then acted all panicked making the guy get out and start firing but the gun just clicked. He knew he was going to get killed anyway even if he knew it was crazy but his twin brother knew he was more of a psychopath than he is. He will eliminate the competition even if it's his twin brother. He knew his brother is more messed up than he is and seems to have huge obsessive compulsive tendencies i mean how obsessed was he about getting all the money including the coins?. His brother knew he doesn't know when to quit once he starts and will keep upping the stakes until he gets killed because he does it more for the thrill of having control over others, he was a lost cause from the start. In the end he convinced himself he could walk away without consequences after what he did to them too the way he treated them, especially Sam the way he beat him up and then gave him ptsd afterwards i mean it looked like he was having a nightmare after that i think anyone would that was traumatizing. Then he kept trying to emasculate him while defeminizing Leslie. Like that is where he took it too far but his brother knew he would do something to take it too far. Sam eventually realized how obsessive compulsive he was too, which is why he started mocking him for it and then pretended to throw all the money out of the window when he kept back only the amount he owed him. Although there seemed to be something redeemable about him because he was a bit too reasonable, he questioned how crazy it was trying again to his brother and wanted to let it go at first. He did have a thing for Leslie and he looked like he felt bad for a moment after she walked out of the shower which no doubt he was peeping on. Then he was willing to just let them go after he got the rest of the money so i think he was actually a bit naive and his twin brother knew that who didn't seem the slightest bit bothered at the end, no doubt he noticed how he went MIA.
