I lament that this beautiful, empathic , promising young man had to spend most of his life behind bars after dealing with a huge amount of trauma inflicted since early childhood. I hope that he and his brother get soon the chance to experience life as free and happy individuals.
@michelleb3698Ай бұрын
I empathise with what they endured, but they killed their parent’s. Many grow up under far more brutal circumstances & don’t take that route. Sentimentalising the brothers doesn’t alter the reality & horror of what they did.

I disagree. In a previous trial, Erik had explained that he had attempted to go to Brown university to live on campus but was forced to go into the California university where he had to live at home. It is hard disobeying your parents especially when they’re abusive and threaten killing you if you run away so that would’ve made it extremely difficult for them to get away. Lyle could get away, however since he’s an amazing brother, he did not want to leave Erik
@beatlesnU2fan0526Ай бұрын
"Why didn't she just leave?" is a classic question we ask of women who were battered, and it completely ignores the reality of being in an abusive environment. Abusive environments make you feel like you are trapped and cannot leave. Erik also tried to run away when he was 12 and his father caught him and told him "you'll never get away, and if you try to run away again, I will kill you." They felt they did not have the option of just running away at the time.

They got a hold of their old attorney Leslie Abramson and she does not want anything to do with Eric or Lyle or anything about the case what does that tell you.. we're talking about 35 years later😅😅😅😅

@JuliePearson-hp9qt no she doesn't.. she just recently had an interview about the resentencing.. she said I have no comment.. I am no longer involved with the case.. and I want nothing to do with the brothers.. sorry it is what it is
@Gchili25 күн бұрын
Well that's just simply not true. Did you even watch the little 30 second clip? She flat out says they have attorney/client privilege and that any tv series that were made about them were bullshit.

I gotta tell you I haven’t had long or even moderate phone conversations with a family member in forever. Maybe too much communication was the problem 🤔
