Cab Driver Gets Arrested By Police For Road Rage

An incident of road rage in Bangalore was caught on DDPAI dashcam where a cab driver threatened to hit the car driver who questioned the cab driver for riding recklessly.
The story started when the cab driver went on the wrong way overtaking several vehicles on a two lane road approaching a railway track thus creating traffic. The driver honked repeatedly out of frustration to show that the cab driver was driving recklessely. Later, the cab driver stopped his car near mysore road and also stopped the driver right in front of the police and threatened to hit the driver. It is seen from the dashcam video that the cab driver repeatedly hurled abuses and ordered to stop the vehicle. The screaming from the cab driver continued and later he continuously stopped on the middle of the road multiple times almost causing a rear end.
The incident has been reported to the police and I will follow up with them and make a part 2 of the video on action taken by the police.

This is wrong advice, escalating on road instead of being calm will only lead to violence or death. The correct thing to do is ignore at that time and report the footage later to police. @@harish123azyeah driver sounded like a young guy. He was right but sometimes it’s not good to escalate things. I have seen so many videos of road rage that resulted into death. At one video I saw 2 auto drivers fighting with bare hands and when the one who was winning started to go back to his auto , the second auto driver picked a brick and hit 8-9 times on his head and kiIIed him there.

I've had this happen with me multiple times. The more you argue the more they will threaten and even call their goon friends. I've had drivers damage my car and pull knife on me too. Nothing good will ever come out of it. Police is usually a mute spectator. Best to avoid. The system is broken, better lookout for yourself and your family.

Two counts of road rage in just over 3 mins of driving. That a new even for me. I sure do believe that people who recorded these were actually right and thus ended up in locking horns. The worst part is when this is reported to the police and all they do is issue a chalan which will never be paid by then till the time they dispose of the car. Sadly our judiciary too fails the test. I faced a similar situation with an auto driver yesterday. He cut me off, made me stop my car and started threatening me to hit me and kill me . He also made a few other auto drivers pull over and tried to convince them that I tried to hit his auto. He tried to force me to open my door and get out. But I didn't even open my window. Same situation I have faced once and I pulled over and overtook the cab and went and stopped at a signal.. me and my mom at car.. The cab driver came next to me parked car and came out like a hero 5ft guy.. And asked had if I pulled what would be your condition.. I got down a 6ft tall guy.. gave one on his head and kicked his ass and told nimmappanda road ista bandage yelyokke Tikka muchkondu kutkogogoley antha... All the people seeing him in bus were laughing look at his condition... Im unsure if the moral makes sense. It is this behaviour of us citizens to not fight for what is right that's got us in this mess. Similar thing happened to me and my friends too, me and guys are in 17-18-19s. So there were 5 of us three scooties a cab driver(swift dzire) trying to overtake hits me from his back-side while I was driving my another friend was just on my right and one behind with a car so there was no space to give him due to oncoming traffic. After hitting I honked like no tomorrow and he started cussing me and forced us to pull over later down the down the road. He came out very angry and looked like he was ready to kill me. I told him it was his fault, I was lucky no serious damage was done, alignment got lil messed up(my parents made him pay for it somehow. back to the story) My friends pulled up behind me too. He started cussing me again, kept shouting I dont know how to drive, stay home and threatened to hit me and all that. But I had that I am always right attitude(BUT I WAS RIGHT THERE) he clearly did not like that and pushed me HARD. Then you know how it goes for us kids I pushed too, he pushed and then hit me a good one in head, I punched his nose(didnt intended to do that) and he brought out his slipper😂 I stepped back and that's when my friends joined in on the fun. Driver kept getting slapped and pushed around like a ragdoll. (Two of my friends are 6'4 and 6'1 or some so it was easy). While they were playing with him ☺, I called my parents in the mean time and they arrived with police(My Mausa ji is in police department, dont know what exactly he do but they didnt waste much time ) and my friends didnt let him escape and rest I dont know that part was the grown ups to handle. But we did get scolded pretty hard too by my parents and my mausa(and right on the side of the road every passerby saw us, EMBARASSING MUCH 😔😔) for fighting and how dangerous it could have been, which we understood, if that guy had some backups too god knows what we would have done. Dont get into unnecessary fights(try to avoid it as much as you can) get a Dashcam ppl, its a must these days now. Jai Hind Savdhaan Rahe Satark Rahe Dhanyawad. 2019. A cab driver bumped into my bike near RMZ Ecospace. I turned back & just showed him hand & asked "swalpa doora nillsakke aagalva?" He kept staring & so did I until the traffic moved & then he overtook me & stopped the car in the mid of the flyover in the mid lane & rushed & held my neck. I held him back the same way & then just let it go cos I really didnt waned to get into a road rage & goto police station. That dumbass was driving employees of some company. Till this day I think of that day & ask myself did I do the correct thing or wrong thing? A little of my ego was hurt that I let a stupid ass walk away when I did no mistake. Unfortunately I didnt have my helmet cam that day.

What is it that kills people? The rage we have right of way or annoyance by the other drivers. I used to take a break (count 1 to 10) before resuming the journey. It is no longer feasible. This is not going to reduce, it will only increase. It is the *stress of driving in Bangalore which kills you* I understand people hate taxis, cab drivers and others. I must have spoken to hundreds of these drivers, some of them earn money only when they make more trips. Some even resort to sleeping in the taxis, for some it is a business as they rent out taxis at fixed rates. Taxi drivers end up making nothing. However, nothing justifies road rage and becoming angry. I guess this was near the *railway gate of Kengeri* you just have to see how the whole road is clogged up with vehicles not giving way to others. The sad part is no one in the administration cares or does anything to improve. The frequency of railway gate closing is very high. Nothing will resolve, till someone ends up dead while an ambulance gets stuck due to a traffic jam (I don't wish). It is the reality.

There are many young drivers on the road. The system has faults wherein we do not learn about Queue system, and importance of resources, be it time or space. I have come across such drivers who endanger other's lives or even intimidate to give space, to be NUMBER ONE everywhere. I have also come across drivers doing window shopping or talking on mobile, slowing down with least regard for vehicles coming behind. I have also seen bikers stop on the road itself to buy vegetables on narrow Road side Santhes through which other vehicles have to negotiate their way. Driving can be comfortable if every driver respects the other drivers and pedestrians and vice versa, and also use all driving skills correctly, be it using the horn, the headlight, the indicators, etc.
