WARNING!! This is addictive to watch!! Someone has an incredible talent with attention to detail. Only came for a quick look , but drawn in for the full duration. Congratulations to the person reading this. I can see a very big smile on your face right now. I could spend all day long in this garden.
@Landsend-Railroad5 ай бұрын
A big smile indeed. Thank you for the endorsement. As for you spending all day long in my garden. You are welcome. There is a lot of winter clean-up to be done. But somehow I did not think that is what was on your mind.

@@Landsend-Railroad sir, having served 30 years with the fire and rescue service, I understand the importance of attention to detail, to achieve the very best outcomes measured by the level of determination , enthusiasm, and commitment. You sir, hold those same qualities . Coincidentally after my, shifts of 2 days and two nights, I would spend my spare time gardening. For my family. So, yes for sure, if I lived close by, I would offer to work in your garden for free!.. my philosophy is to earn what you receive in this life. So my proposal is, simple... All day hard working....for one hour, in therapy enjoying your creativity...cup of tea included, please. My job application already in the post!!! 😉
@Landsend-Railroad5 ай бұрын
Sir, your life philosophy and determination is admirable. And in more ways than one our take on life ist identical. The people say: "The devil is in the details! " So is the fun they may miss to see and experience. Detailing may be tedious, but once you are done, the rewards are worth it. If you only lived close by....To find out is not so easy, the super visibility of KZbin is hardly the vehicle to find out. In a controlled invitational and not right-out public promotional we have had 600 visitors during one weekend. You will understand if I do not place my address here. Thanks for the application anyways.

I realy appreciate your comments. You are right, a lot of attention, time and head-scatching goes into setting up the many little details. True, there is an initial amount of investent necessary to get the track and some rolling stock, but since I build much of what you see myself money is not the biggest issue. Time and and effort are outweighing it by far.
@Nick60606 Жыл бұрын
I'm amazed at the detail of the railroad, landscaping, maintenance involved, time involved to create such a beautiful Garden Railroad and what it must have cost. One of the best for sure.
@Landsend-Railroad Жыл бұрын
You have touched on all the mayor point when one builds and operates a garden railroad of this size. As for the cost: I have scratch-built quite a number of my locomotives and cars, thus saving a great deal of money. It also helped that the cost of solid brass rail, when I built the layout 20 years ago, was 1/3 of what it sells for today. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to make a very positive comment.

@Landsend-Railroad Жыл бұрын
Thank you. I have to admit it was only partially intended. I simply used the effect the wide angle lens will give you naturally. This way in many scenes the back ground will automatically look like it is part of the miniature setting.

@Landsend-Railroad10 ай бұрын
Too many garden railways are populated with large leaved plants. I avoid them. They are especially anoying when they overhang the track and get brushed aside by the camera. In my definition it is a garden when you do it all yourself, it's an estate when you hire people to do it for you. Sorry, mine may be on the larger side, but it is still a garden! Thanks for the good words.
