Cab ride Škrljevo - Ogulin (Croatian Railways) - train drivers view in 4K

In this video you can enjoy the cab ride - train drivers view on Croatian Railway between Škrljevo and Ogulin in 4K/60 frames per second from the train with the locomotive Asea 1141. The locomotive is an improved version of a Swedish Rb class locomotive. Škrljevo is an inland town near Rijeka. The city of Rijeka, largest Croatian port and third largest city in Croatia is connected with the rest of Croatia and Europe by main railway line M202 Zagreb GK-Rijeka (part of the Mediterranean corridor RH2). The line from Ogulin to Škrljevo is a part of that line. The distance from Škrljevo to Ogulin is 55km.

Hi, nice to see that you went also in your neighbor country! This railway is extremely spectacular, as it climbs a lot from the sea level to the Dinaric Alps. Drove there once, from Delnice to Rijeka, on the national road 6, it is a very beautiful area, nice to see it also from the perspective of the train cab. this brings back memories.. used to travel this route as a kid every single summer, decades ago, from Belgrade to Rijeka (Opatija, as a final destination), with my grandparents.. we had a lot of kins and relatives in Gomirje and (Srpske) Moravice, so sometimes we spent a week or two in Gorski Kotar, such an magnificent scenery, real gem. Ogulin reminds me of Shiey who stopped there during train hopping. For safety's sake its better travelling in a carriage. Great views, as always. And a beautiful day for filming. I noticed you dropped the speedometer. What was the reason for that?

Thank you. The speedometer is based on GPS data and one of the reasons that I can not use this data always are the tunnels. The GPS contact is lost and I have a gap in the data. Would you prefer to watch the video with the gap (just a part of the video is without the speedometer icon) or without the speedometer?

@Albano Mathias as cercas estão construídas ou pelo barulho ou pelo vento forte que pode ocorrer. No começo do vídeo as cercas estão construídas para o barulho não incomodar tanto as pessoas morando perto da linha, mas já chegando no final do vídeo, tem algumas cercas por causa do vento forte que normalmente ocorre nas regiões passando.

This line actually runs from Rijeka, from the coast to Zagreb (I had some troubles with the camera and couldn't make the video from Rijeka). All the railways that lead to the Dalmatian coast are running inland, because of the Velebit mountains and there are very short sections along the coast.

Grega, agreed! But unfortunately, most of the lines just come from inland and go straight to the station. For most towns, you might be able to just catch a glimpse of sea before the arrival, depending on the height of the railroad just before the coast, just like the author mentioned for Rijeka. There is perhaps a glimpse of last 10-15 km before Zadar when train exits a long tunnel, but I don't think that line is operational at the moment, it keeps getting substituted with buses. And something similar to that before coming to Split, at Solin. For Šibenik I don't know, and station in Pula is just beside the port. Also Ploče, it is a nice scenic ride from Metković, along the Neretva river, there is a video, look for it! But a line north-northwest from Pula along the Istrian coast would be nice, right? Also from Zadar to Šibenik/Split, would be great!

Maximum speed limit on this line is 80 km/hour. The displayed speed on the video is based on GPS data and is not very precise. It might indicate a different speed than the actual speed.
