Magnifico video e magnifica linea ! Complimenti vivissimi! La linea del Pyhrn, completata dall'ing. Karl Wurmb nel progetto "TRANSALPINA" Ceske Budejovice/Budwieis-Sommerau-Linz-Selzthal-Bischofschofen-Swarzach St.Veit-Spittal MS-Villach-Assling/Jesenice-Gorizia/Nova Gorica-Villa Opicina-Trieste S.Andrea (Campo Marzio). Fa un certo effetto che un tempo il treno Praga-Trieste passava di qua. Il progetto TRANSALPINA prevedeva quattro lunghi tunnel: Bosruck (qui), Tauern, Karawanke e Wochein/Bohinj. La linea è oggi molto modernizzata, molti tratti a doppio binario, molte stazioni modificate e allungate.

Wieder eine sehr schöne und interessante Fahrt über eine wichtige österreichische Nord-Süd-Transversale. Am sukzessiven Zweigleisausbau der zumeist eingleisigen Hauptbahn wird gearbeitet. Eine landschaftlich sehr reizvolle, mit vielen Kunstbauten errichtete Strecke durch die oberösterreichischen Alpen ins steirische Selzthal. - Another very beautiful and interesting journey along an important Austrian north-south transversal. Work is underway on the gradual double-tracking of the mostly single-track main line. A very scenic route through the Upper Austrian Alps to the Styrian Selzthal, with many engineering structures.

Der Ausbau geht sehr langsam vor sich. Man muss bedenken, dass das die Strecke zwischen der 2. und der 3.größten Stadt Österreichs ist. Teilweise fährt der IC 75 oder 80km/h und das wird sich auch in Zukunft nicht ändern.

Der weitere Zweigleisausbau von Hinterstoder (Minute 01:10:22) nach Pießling-Vorderstoder (Minute 01:05:50), das sind etwa 8 km, steht immerhin schon in den Startlöchern und wird ab 2025 erfolgen. - Der Bahnhof Micheldorf wird gerade modernisiert. - Gut Ding braucht eben Weile.

@@montgomeryscott1656 Ja, Micheldorf wird modernisiert, dann kann man die S-Bahn auch ständig über Kirchdorf hinaus verlängern. Beim zweigleisigen Ausbau Hinterstode nach Kießling stehen noch Behördenverfahren aus und in der Aufstellung des Ministeriums ist, soviel ich weiß, von 2035 die Rede. Da ist wohl noch viel Zeit.

Beautiful line the Pyrnbahn! Small and short line does not pass through large centers but is an important railway connection artery between Linz and Graz. Note three types of landscape: the urbanized area of ​​Linz is densely populated, then the valley of Krems that follows a cultivated hilly and flat trend typical of Upper Austria, and finally a mountain landscape that seems that of Tyrol or Semmering with daring viaducts and tunnels that overcome the mountain and arrive in Selzthal. Selzthal is a railway junction in Austria quite important and several lines converge. Just like Bruck an Der Mur or Attnang-Pucheim it is a railway bifurcation station quite important without being a real city. Congratulations! It would need a doubling in its entirety.

Die Strecke durch das Gesäuse (Ennstalschlucht) kommt kurz vor Selzthal von links herein. Ich in sicher, RailRelaxation bringt auch noch eine Führerstandsmitfahrt von Amstetten oder St. Valentin über Kastenreith, Hieflau und Admont nach Selzthal (klassische ÖBB-Kronprinz Rudolph-Bahn). - The route through the "Gesäuse" (Ennstal Canyon) comes in from the left just before Selzthal. I am sure that RailRelaxation will also offer a ride in the driver's cab from Amstetten or St. Valentin via Kastenreith, Hieflau and Admont to Selzthal (classic ÖBB Crown Prince Rudolph Railway).

Sehr, sehr herzlichen Dank, es war schon überfällig.:-) Leider ist es weiter eine vernachlässigte Strecke, jetzt, wo der Tauerntunnel für Monate gesperrt wird oder eben die Westbahn teilweise außer Betrieb, dient die Strecke ja auch als wichtige Umleitung. Der abschnittsweise Ausbau der zweigleisigen Strecke erfolgt mühsam langsam, im Bosrucktuunel gilt Tempo 100. Alles nicht sehr lustig.

Im Vergleich zu der gut ausgebauten Strecke (im Palten-Liesing-Tal) von Selzthal nach St. Michael in Obersteiermark ist die Phyrnbahn tatsächlich etwas zurückgeblieben. Der Bosruck-Tunnel wurde saniert. Ein Neubau ist aber unabdingbar. Im Abschnitt von Hinterstoder bis Roßleithen ist die Neutrassierung geplant, zwischen Kirchdorf an der Krems und Micheldorf ist sie in Ausführung.
