Cab ride Ljubljana - Jesenice (Slovenian Railways) - train drivers view in 4K

In this video you can enjoy the cab ride - train drivers view on Slovenia's train between Ljubljana and Jesenice in 4K/60 frames per second.The line from Ljubljana to Jesenice is 64.5 km long. It is a single-track line, electrified with 3 kV DC. Only the short section between the Ljubljana Šiška marshalling yards and the Ljubljana railway station is double-track.
This railway line was opened on 14 December 1870. It followed the Sava valley from Ljubljana to Assling (now Jesenice) and Kronau (Kranjska Gora), then reach Tarvisio through Fusine in Valromana.
In 1906, the station of Jesenice became a junction when two segments of the New Alpine Railways met there: the Bohinj Railway to Trieste and the Karawanks Railway to Villach.

I took this same trip back in Nov. of 2014 and it was a very slow and bumpy ride and the train cars were old and worn out but it everything looks fantastic now the trains car look new and gleaming and the entire railway systems looks brand new and fast and smooth. Slovenia is a beautiful and friendly country and the train system now matches the country and the people.

Many many years ago - (1972) - in Cambridge, UK - I had a girlfriend from Ljubljana - she was training to be a nurse - unfortunately she had to return to Yugoslavia - Not ever forget her even now - all these years later, I Sincerely hope that the life has been kind to her and she has experienced much success in all areas of her life,,,!!!

Great video. I did not know that there were also electric Talent trains. I only know the German diesel Talents just across the border in Germany, around the city of Aachen. I live 20 km north east of Aachen in the Netherlands. The diesel Talent use to come to Heerlen, until several years ago. They electrified the remaining part of the line Heerlen - Herzogenrath. Now Flirt 3 emu from the dutch Arriva train company (not the national carrier, that is NS). go to Aachen.

In Slovenia the Slovenian Railways have new Siemens Desiro electric trains. I don't know about Talent trains. Maybe someone else reading this comment can help me out. Thank you.

@@massimotesta6086 Sessions in Slovenia are similar, "careful driving" in this case driving on a busy track: the red light next to the signal flashes yellow. Most dispatchers themselves issue a permit to drive past the red signal.

Weird request. 1You would have to wait for a really long time to have profound hypothermia, so death can occur. This isn´t Amtrak, there are frequent trains on this line and there are shelters for waiting passengers.

Thank you for your comment. I will check it again and correct the description if necessary. Sometimes You Tube doesn't process the video correct. It seems that this happened with this one. I already had similar problems with other videos. Sometimes it takes You Tube a few days to process videos and still the quality is not the same as it was uploaded.

Zanimivo, zdaj so proge elektrificirane in obnovljene, morale bi bili hitrejše.

@@RailRelaxation Obnova še ni zaključena, še vedno potekajo dela ob progi (rok je september 2022). Drugače pa bistvenega dviga na večini odsekov ne bo (niti ne more biti, saj se trase ni spreminjalo).
