I just watched this whole damn thing. This game was in my town's community center from like 1992-1997 and I never saw anyone get past 1-4. Random sick fact about this dude f-ing crushing it: He fields every single power-up in the air for like the first half of the game! I didn't know they could hit the ground til like 2-3! This is some Last Starfighter ish right here. Galactic defense needs to grab this guy,

I played this at the age of 9 in a arcade hall while I was on vacation in Germany. All the money I got from my parents went into this game, and I felt so bad when we went back home. The memories... after all those years I found this game again. Awesome, just awesome. And that dance at the end of a level... priceless XD

The last time I played this game was the summer of 1992. I was turning 18 and I tried to beat this game the whole summer with only one coin as well. I was never able to get pass the boss of level 3 with only 1 coin. This is my favorite game back then. Everyone was playing either final fight or street fighter 2 so I could have this game all by myself. My family moved to another city after the summer and I never seen this again until today. This brings back old memories.

Hey, it's me! Thanks, I'm not good at all games, only at the few that I really like. Cabal has a perfectly balanced gameplay so It was a pleasure to try to beat it without receiving a single hit. But I have to say that I can archieve that in about 1 of 20 tries; normally I lose 1 or 2 lives. The most difficult stage is without a doubt 3-2, I almost always get hit there, because the numer of enemies onscreen, helicopters etc are insane.

This dude doesn't use all those grenades that much except on the scenery. Good playing. It's not so much the victory dance as the cheesy music that gets me. Love the overload noise when you beat the final boss but the truck dropping turrets was harder. Never knew you could just grenade the stretcher bearers, I was always trying to get a perfect trace on them for 3 grenades, this guy gets 3 with a grenade then up to 3 more. Get the evil red cross.
@clipfilmix11 жыл бұрын
That's it, Blood Bros was a good game too but the gameplay in here is more "pure". I wish someone makes a proper remake with improved graphics and destructibility but keeping the same playability.

Loved this game and used to be the guy that the kids watched while I finished it one credit like this. I could only do it on this and Black Tiger. You can do these great somersaults between the bullets, looks great. Then you get the rock-n-roll party gun and it gets FUN

I come from the world of Shooters, where you're discouraged from using bombs. In a Shooting Gallery game like this one, you're pretty much REQUIRED to use grenades - use them often and use them efficiently/with good aim!

My friends and I used to call this "Gay Pride: The Game" due to the victory dance at the end of levels, and the fact the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy was on the news when we played the NES port.

Yes, I also badly wanted a proper sequel. The company made Blood Bros afterwars and it was a good game but I prefer the gameplay of Cabal. I would have added more destructible environments and perhaps more weapons, not much more as the gameplay is one of the most balanced I have ever experienced. Nowadays I'm replaying the game in hardest mode and so far I was able to beat it losing 3 lifes. Now the normal mode seems too easy in comparison.

damn, what an incredible run!!! i've only ever played this with joystick so far, when i get my new pc all set up though, i'm for sure gonna try it with the trackball on my x-arcade tankstick! by the way, what was the exploit you used on the 3rd boss to make it die so quickly?
@clipfilmix7 жыл бұрын
Thanks. No secrets here, just fire as fast as you can over the main "truck" and ignore the turrets. I played this with a keyboard, as I find it much easier for playing arcade games, I use WASZ keys, so my thumb is on the Z and I can simulate a cross with four fingers for each direction, I feel myself much more responsive this way than just with one thumb for all directions.

I thinks this game has great replayability, I enjoyed replaying it and eventually I got better and one day I finished it without losing any life but I didn't record it. It was difficult to redo it again, but some weeks later I did it. Since then I achieved it again once or two. The most difficult stage for me is the previous one to the last boss, and the 3-2 stage. Now I find more fun and challenging to play in the hardest mode, I think I went as far as 5-1 stage or so.
