The 7" version of the song from 'Code' 1987.
I completely recut the video to match up with the single version, taking the opportunity to vastly increase Richard & Stephen's onscreen presence & thereby minimising the footage of the lovechild of Magnus Pike & Dennis Pennis as the fruit-loop scientist that completely dominated the original video. The other person in the clip, incidentally, is Bill Nelson who is special guest guitarist on the record.

Well done! It is ironic that while the video features Nelson so prominently, he's practically muted in the majority of the mix, while the album version he was front and center. It's amazing to here Nelson dabble in funky sliding 9th chords throughout... a side of Nelson rarely seen. I thought the Code record was a landmark one for them, matching the transformative Crackdown a few years earlier. My very favorite experimenters turned dance musicians (and back and forth, in following the late, lamented Richard Kirk's path), it is certainly worth pursing Mallinder's solo work as well... the Tick Tick Tick album, released in '22, sounds like a follow up to Code.

Thankyou. I actually didn't realise the the fella at the back was Mr. Nelson until I was about halfway thro' making the video. This is definitely the best one on the album imo.
