CABBAGE ROLLS THE ROLLS 1 Head of Cabbage 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil 1 Bunch Green Onion 1 Onion 2 Sticks of Celery 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic 1 lb Ground Beef 1 lb Hot Breakfast Sausage 1 Tablespoon Parsley Flakes 1 Tablespoon of Pi-YAHHHHH!! Seasoning 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce 1 & 1/4 Cups of Rice 1 Egg 1/2 Cup of Breadcrumbs THE SAUCE 1 Yellow Onion 1 Green Bell Pepper 1 Stick of Celery 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil 1 (6 oz) Can of Tomato Paste 1 (28 oz) Cans of Crushed Tomatoes 1 (15 oz) Can of Tomato Sauce 1 (8 oz) Can of Tomato Sauce 1 & 1/2 Tablespoons of Sugar 1/2 Tablespoon of Parsley Flakes 1/2 Teaspoon of Basil 1 Teaspoon of Salt 1/4 Teaspoon of Pepper Dash of Red Pepper Flakes 2 Bay Leaves Start out by heating large pot on a Med/Low setting. Also heat a large pot of water on a high heat. Chop the onion, green bell pepper, and celery from the sauce ingredients. In the empty large pot add two tablespoons of olive oil, the add the chopped vegetables. Sauté this for roughly 20 minutes. At this time begin prepping the cabbage so that you can remove the hard stem. Cut inward about 2 inches away from the hard stem, all the way around the cabbage, then remove. When the pot of water has begun boiling, place the side of the cabbage you cut out downward in the large pot of water. Boil for 10 minutes. When the time is up on the cabbage, remove from the pot and let sit off to the side for now. After your vegetables have been sautéing for 20 minutes, add a tablespoon of minced garlic. Sauté for another 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, add tomato paste and cook for another 5 minutes. Next add the 28oz can of crushed tomato, 15oz & 8oz cans of tomato sauce, sugar, parsley flakes, basil, salt, black pepper, red pepper, and two bay leaves. Bring to a slight boil, cover, lower to simmer, and cook down for 2 hours. Be sure to come back and stir every 10 minutes so that the bottom doesn’t stick. Once the 2 hour mark is up, turn the heat off an move the pot off to the side till needed You’ll want to get the rice cooking during this process. Also get another pot heated up on a Medium heat, and chop up the green onion, onion, and celery for the filling. To the hot pot add a tablespoon of olive oil and drop in the chopped vegetables. Sauté for roughly 10 minutes, and then add a tablespoon of minced garlic. Sauté for another 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, add the ground beef and breakfast sausage. Mix in 1 tablespoon of parsley flakes, 1 tablespoon of Pi-YAHHHHH!! Seasoning, and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce. Cook down for another 5 minutes. Turn the heat off and remove the filling to a non-metal bowl. At this time you can remove the leaves individually from the head of cabbage. Just be careful. Take each individual leaf and carefully trim the side of the stem so that it’s flush with the rest of the leaf. Next blend together the filling, rice, breadcrumbs, and egg. At this time, preheat the oven to 375° In a 9x13 baking dish, put down a layer of the tomato sauce. Grab a cabbage leaf, and put a large scoop of the filling in the center. Begin wrapping sort of like you would an egg roll. Fold the backside over the top of the stuffing, tucking in the sides and continuing to roll. Place the seam side down in the baking dish. You may need to adjust each roll so that all of them can fit in the dish. Once you have all the rolls in the dish, cover with the tomato sauce, cover with foil, and then bake in the oven for an hour and a half. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Meh where you from like dat? Im from little ole Iota. Been watching you and parrain chef Harley Fontenot and wondering where my neighbors are from. My daddy would cook every thing from the woods you could imagine. I would love to see some rabbit fricase, stuffed wood duck, squirrel brown gravy, and some good ole deer meet. I just subscribed keep up the good work brother and good things are headed your way.

It's much easier to core the cabbage, wrap it in heavy duty foil & pit it in the freezer for a couple of days . The leaves are very soft & easy to remove & fill with the meat mixture.
