I think that's great too, in asia it is good that it is polite to try everything and then to decide. Not in Germany, if a child sees something that they may not like, then they don't have to eat it either. Parents often have the problem that young children say they don't like all fruit and vegetables and only want chicken nuggets or french fries, etc. That is why it is important to give the children a meal and say try it tastes so good. Then it will be easier for children.

My grandparents are German, so I grew up eating cabbage rolls a lot. Our version was cabbage, ground beef, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, tomato sauce, bacon. Cooked in the oven for a few hours. Served with either rice, or potatoes or just bread. As an adult, I changed it into cabbage stew. Same ingredients, just in a slow cooker. Especially lovely in winter, to have a warm bowl of it. Sutan is soo adorable. 💕💕💕

@@crackedstar9992 Sure. You make the cabbage like she did. The meat, I get ground beef and mix in chopped onion, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs. Adjust accordingly. I make little loads of meat. Wrapped with 1 or 2 leaves of cabbage. Put in a oven pan, turn oven to 350 degrees. Cover with strips of bacon. Pour over a cup of water and a cup of tomato juice. Add a few beef bouillon or beef stock. Cover pan in oven for an hour. Then incover and cook til the cabbage and meat are throughly cooked. Generally another 30 min to 1 hour more. You can thicken the pan drippings, if you want. I serve with rice, noodles or potatoes. I freeze any leftovers. Hope that helps. 🙂

I love how you always let sutan do what she wants to do (like sit forward in the carrier) while also giving her limits and boundaries on other things at the same time. I feel like it teaches her that she cannot get everything she wants all the time while also satisfying her a bit thus avoiding tantrums! Other parents in that situation would just say no, no, no and eventually give up and make their child play elsewhere while they finished cooking!

Hello dear Moe, the food is traditional German cuisine in German it means cabbage rolls. We don't use mushrooms in the filling because they lose too much water. In Germany, only traditionally seasoned minced meat with onions. You can also youse Paprika as an basic , which is also very popular, and then put it in the oven. I also do this when I get large mushrooms in the store, then I remove the stem of the mushrooms, fill in the minced meat mixture and put a slice of cheese on top. The whole thing comes in a baking dish in the oven. The great thing about the mushrooms is that they lose liquid again in the oven and you can use it for a sauce because the meat in it gives it a delicious taste, simply thicken it with a little miso paste and potato starch. Greeting from germany von Marcus. p.s. Keep up the good work your channel is great I've already learned so much, I'll become a good husband through your culinary art someday hahahaha :-) :-):-)

My mother makes something similar. It was her grandmother's recipe that she brought with her from Poland. The sauce is different and she used rice instead of mushrooms. Still it was really close. Great video Moe!

Omg, haven't had this dish since I left Japan over a decade ago. Definitely going to make it. Keep those Japanese dishes coming. I need to come back to Japan (when the pandemic dies down)

This is almost an international recipe. We do it in Greece and I know they have it in Turkey and eastern Europe as well. My mother used to put a plate on top of rolls while cooking so they would not move. Your family is an inspiration! Maybe it will inspire young people to pursue a creation of a family....

I made a version of these in culinary school, only we used ground pork and the sauce was an apple cider reduction. I'm definitely going to have to try this version. Arigato gozaimasu!

Indeed in the Balkans we call this "sarma". In my home country we make the filling with minced meat, onion and rice and use pickled cabbage. So nice to see this recipe! I recomment trying with pickled cabbage too!

You guys are such beautiful people! I love watching your videos. We have a similar dish in Poland and is called "Gołąbki". But, after your video, I am going to try your recipe :) Oishii! ❤️ Ps. Thank you girls for teaching me some basic words in Japanese. I'm seriously thinking about starting to learn your language. Greetings from Poland.

I literally cheered out loud when she cracked that egg and got it into the bowl herself! Love watching her progress! Also love watching how chaotic she is - eating things like raw onion like it's an apple haha. This recipe looks delicious and I can't wait to make it!
