Hi Arthur, I never commented on any of these videos (because I never felt I had anything to add to the absolute sweetness and brilliance of the comments section. I'm afraid I'm what Douglas would call a 'Herc-level' person). Nevertheless, I couldn't pass this final opportunity to say something: thank you so much. The documentary about MJN air is one of my absolute favourite things in the world, I must have heard each episode hundreds of times by now. They bring me immeasurable joy. I listen to them when I'm happy, and when I'm sad, and even when I'm having a nice bath actually. Getting to know you through these videos has most definitely been brilliant and I am so, so happy to learn that you, your mum Douglas, Martin, Herc, Theresa are all doing fine. Thank you for making this time more bearable. The situation is still pretty bad in my country, and we are still self isolating. But at least I will have these videos (and the documentary!) to turn to. Lots of love, Mana.

Agreed. If that documentary were made into a sitcom, I think it would be my favourite - on radio or telly. Such a shame that seems unlikely to happen.

Thank you so much! It has been pure joy watching Arthur's adventures in isolation and admiring his endless optimism. No - he can't. The point of a sitcom, it that they're all trapped, in various ways - apart from Arthur, who will always be fine. By the last episode, everyone has what they wanted, so that's no longer the case. I dunno what to tell you man, I'm also an addict and also crave more episodes, but if I got them, I'm not convinced I would actually want them.

Oh no - don't let it be so! Thanks Arthur, thanks John. I'll miss you. I listen to Cabin Pressure about twice a year. Occasionally with other poor, reluctant souls. It looks like the lesson is, if you practice, wherever you're starting from, you will get better. Also, probably have bunk beds? Anyway, onwards and certainly upwards (as long as you also come down again).

Dear Arthur and John, thank you so much for letting us share lockdown with you! How clever of your mum to get you a keyboard that sounds like it needs tuning, it will remind you of your mouse infested annex. My mum was given one of those satanic lambs as a gift. It was kindly meant but I’m afraid the lamb ended up living in a cupboard as it scared us all, it’s hollow eyes followed us round the room with malign intent! Have fun back up in the skies 🙋🏻♀️🛩

An in tune and very very much lots of extra contexty Cabin Pressure theme - wonderful and totally brilliant. That alone was worth the wait, and the way my ears always tingled just a little bit uncomfortably during all the wonky piano sounds (even though the playing definitely improved loads). My favourite bits were the imaginative chess games, the reading several books at once and the marble run. Thank you Arthur, and your friend John. Have looked forward to each episode (apart from being creeped out a bit by the beard/hair pencil interface bits, oh, and pretty sure I'm going to have nightmares about that shuddersome sheep - thank you for making it face the wall) to see what you'd come up with next. We, as a family have played the Travelling Lemon from way back when you, your Mum, Martin and Douglas were playing it on Gerti. At home and out on walks, as well as concealing all the 26 alphabetical destinations around the house and garden. My very tall son in law left a lemon on top of the door bell chime box thing some weeks ago - I found it pretty quickly, but short of getting a stepladder, I'm just going to have to wait until he comes again and can retireve it - it's mummifying up there... I realise I'm rambling now, but it's because I've loved Arthur's videos so awfully much, I'm trying to pretend they haven't come to an end, and once I click the 'comment' button, they really will have, so thank you, thank you, thank you, thank...
@missfredd4 жыл бұрын

Thank you for bringing so much joy, not only these past few months to help us get through lockdown (which has been invaluable!) but all of the years before and years to come. Cabin Pressure has been a bright light to get me through difficult times, something that I have shared with friends and family across the country even when I can't be with them, and simply one of the cleverest pieces of media I have ever had the privilege of enjoying. As an American, having the opportunity to see some of your library try-outs and live shows have been among the highlights of many a trip to the UK; and that's not to mention Souvenir Programme, which has gotten me through many a jog when I otherwise would have given up ten minutes in! I am, as always, extremely excited to see what you'll be working on next - it's sure to be, if I had to choose a word....brilliant. :) Thank you for everything!

Thank you so much for bringing entertainment to so many people! A friend and I made good use of lots of lemon, piano and monkey emojis (specifically the one covering its ears because let's face it, the only piano that's more out of tune is my piano at home 😂). We actually couldn't meet but kind of watched these together/at the same time anyway. So thanks for that too. And even though I couldn't participate as much it was a joy to watch everyone else. So thank you. ❤️
