I needed this today as I’m still dealing with the loss of my mother, brother recently diagnosed with cancer. They took a bone marrow sample yesterday, and seeing you both brought smiles to my eyes. I had some Roses in a vase that I had stopped watering and were drying out. I went to dump what little water was left and cleaned the vase. I noticed on of the dried roses had spouted. I looked at the others and saw they had small buds on the stems. Yesterday I planted them to see if they will continue to grow. Last year no tomatoes but this I have tomato craziness. Best wishes

The weather has been uncomfortable due to how warm it got here in Montreal Quebec. I think always of those memories of being out in the forests and rivers with a backpack and yes a canoe being carried between two guys. I even slept under the canoe. And why not be happy. Watching you boil up the gravy brings back the incident when my conjoin, Lise forgot she left the pan on the stove and that gravy effort ended up costing $29,000 . The gravy caught fire and burnt the microwave above it which kept the fire from spreading to the ceiling and roof. She is gone now but each time I enter the kitchen it brinfgs back memories of our 23 years togeether

Hi Lisette, Yes, I have had tomatoes sprout seeds inside themselves and those tomatoes grew really well. I picked the sprouts out and planted them. Pretty cool. I still have a fire on rainy days too here at my cabin. I get a little sad when I walk past the woodstove and it is not warm. all winter it has been my only companion and now that spring is warming up, it is silent and not warm anymore. Post woodstove depression... : ) I look forward to this fall when I will once again be cooking my breakfast on the woodstove instead of the kitchen stove. I am grateful for both, but the woodstove seems so much more alive. smiling, George.
