As a former FD , I would also recommend a GOOD First Aid kit both for the vehicles and the cabin, I also recommend 5BC or better yet 10BC fire extinguishers for your home , cabin , vehicle's and your equipment . If not for you than to help somebody else , although with the new vehicles and all the plastics it would be best to grab your loved ones and head for high ground !!!! LOL I also carry forgeable entry tools in my truck, a Halligan bar and a axe , but that is a little over the top for most. You must remember that if you are in the woods alone and somethings happens and if you manage to call for help , it will take time for help to get there and find you, just something to think about, Stay safe , be well

Just an idea for the wood box. Make a steel bar to go across the top at the front just to help hold the ends together and keep the full load from tying to push them outward during transport. Once parked, take it off.

Many ways to accomplish the objective; go as simple or not as you please. My idea was a piece of rebar with a foot about 4" bent on each end to hang over the top. It could be slid to the back when not needed and be out of the way.

For your firewood box, put straps or chains on the diagonal across the top. That leaves the front relatively open so you don’t have to dodge the bracing. Heck, it could even be solid. And, for your supply box, a handful of microfiber cloths and a tube of hand cleaner like Goop.

Mike, I remember a while ago you posed a question or statement about things Eva should have in her car- there were some good suggestions, just as there are in this comment section…. I’m sure you already have a first aid kit and that should be readily available in every vehicle, including the side by side. Not trying to be a tactical wannabe here but please consider including tourniquets in your first aid kits- they will save a life. Hopefully you’ll never have to use one but if you have it, you won’t regret it. Be sure to get proper training on tourniquet application. It makes a difference.

Mike, I have found that if you heat a label and remove it slowly it comes off better and don't know if you know about Goo Gone, but it is a great label residue remover but you will have to rub the surface of the residue a couple of times but it will clean it very well. In fact, Goo Gone works great on a lot of stuff and it is a citrus product so not terribly harmful to us or the environment.

Mike, I highly recommend Olight flashlights. I have been using them for years and they are fantastic. They are water proof and very durable. I have seen where people have run over them with a vehicle and they still work fine. All of their lights are rechargeable using a USB port and you don't even have to remove the battery to charge them. They supply the charging dongle with the light that magnetically attaches to the light. You could even charge them in your truck. They have a variety of headlamps as well as lights that will attach to a pew pew.

Toilet paper, zip ties, duct tape, multitool and spare pair of reading glasses might be nice additions. The coleman camping toilet paper is really compact and fits in a snack size ziploc bag. you can make a small roll of duct tape off a big roll too. Carb cleaner should do a good job of taking off those stickers, they contain mostly acetone, which is pretty good sticker desticker. Just scratch the top of the sticker to let the acetone penetrate and in a minute or two it should peel right off.

Last year while out in one of my pastures I was trimming the trees to be able to brush hog and looked down on the ground and found a nice knife. I cleaned it up and put it in my toolbox on the tractor. Then over in another pasture found a nice hacksaw and after cleaning it up put that in my main toolbox. I can't tell you how many tools I have picked up on my property. I haven't found any money though. I did find a one row cultivar with the wooden handles, after stepping on it while weed trimming. I found a ladder that is used to climb over fences, which needs some welding done to it.

I like to recommend something for ALL of your vehicles. And not something for the box. What I have in each of our truck/cars is a glass hammer and we keep them in the console between the seats. In the event you go into the water with all the electronics nowadays. Bets are the doors will probably lock and the power windows not work. This happened to someone I went to school with. Her car hit the water and she couldn’t get out. Very sad😢. And a family discussion when you hand these glass break hammer to them would be helpful with all drivers.
