After watching the first few minutes of the drive, Mike Morgan..... I was reminded of a cliche I used to hear about my MICHIGAN weather when the season changed. : "GRAY 'TILL MAY". Looking at the horizon through the windshield of the Super Duty brought back some memories and thoughts of WHY I now live in the south

Personally Mike, I think when hemlocks are heavily snow covered mother nature just painted one of her best pictures. They're also good cover and shelter from the cold air. Always plenty of little twigs beneath them to start a fire with. The lumber looks good and making furniture out of the heart wood is always a special treat. Thanks for braving our cold air and slick roads and taking us along for another wild wonderful West Virginia adventure.

I love the trail cams pics/ videos , may I suggest solar panels I run several trail cams with solar panels and I have a couple that only get a couple hrs of daylight a day , they stay at 100 percent all year . I run Duracell batteries and they been out all year and still say 100 percent and thats because they run off solar panels that have an internal battery on the panel . The batteries are really just a backup for days with no to very minimum sun . Also I run a little cover over the top of my cameras Mike and have learned they last a lot longer if you keep that rain / snow off the camera . I run the Tactacam gen 1 cameras and also have the cold temps and some snow here in NC at the bottom of the mtns .

Hey Mike, love your channel brother! I couldn’t help but notice on your video today that when you filled up your tank and was checking your mileage below your fuel gauge, you still have the trailer symbol when you are in fact, not pulling anything. Be sure to go to your vehicle settings and turn the trailer setting off or it will throw your mileage off. My 2023 SD does the same thing at times. Just a bug that Ford didn’t fix yet. Keep up the good work!

I hope it don't snow down here in S E Texas. We rarely get snow here but the last few years have been killers. All our pluming is only 1' deep and thin insulation under the house, so we are not really ready for snow. If we do get below 30 degrees I shut everything off and drain the lines. If the tree hangs up, pull it out with the tractor. Thinning makes the trees grow better. I watch the Brownsville Maine videos where they feed the deer through the winter.

I run around 80 Spypoints and Spartans. Around 40 of the Spypoints are Flexes. I built my own solar panels with lithium ion batteries. Hand built everything so i could be sure what I was getting (been burned by chinese lithium cells that lose capactiry too quickly). Spypoint and Herd360 sell solar panels with built in lithium packs that work great. Just as well as my home made ones in my testing. I have also built external power supplies out of ammo boxes and sealed lead acid batteries. If you are in a spot where you get no sunlight to charge the solar packs that is an option. However if you can clear a couple trees and get a couple hours of sunlight to the solar pack that is the way to go. I have Flexes I haven't touched in over a year.
