It's about someone who has literally turned himself into an arcade machine. After he is reported dead, he is found, mistaken for a normal gaming cabinet, and put in an arcane. He gains a following as an unbeatable game, eating "the occasional repairman" to sustain himself, but is eventually rendered obsolete by the advent of home consoles ("a little tiny box that they make in Japan"). Eventually, someone breaks in and robs the arcade, finally revealing that he was organic all along.

I know! So often with Neil Cicierega's music, I try to pick the song apart and figure out what it's a metaphor for, because the lyrics are too weird to be anything but figurative. But no. Straight-up 80s sci-fi creepypasta. Most of the album is pretty literal. Some people have also theorized that this song was inspired by the urban legend of Polybius, which is also about an arcade game that drove people insane. The details don't match up super closely, though.
