Have to love this warmer weather G! Stay on your grind homie. I was not a good Technician at all haha. There are some customer in Jersey City a couple years back when I worked for Comcast that got the hookup. Water tight fitting at the tap and the house, new drop, new splitters, all new lines, new equipment, everything wrench tight, connections are crimped flush, etc. What people really need to see is the process from start to finish. I think that would be dope if you got a helmet cam so people can see through your eyes how to grab the ladder, put the span clamps, how to wrap the messenger cable, how to read single at the tap, the value of always going to the tap first, etc. You do good, clean work 👍🏽

For residential that’s pretty much how it is. Pretty straight forward. I switched to commercial and it’s different.

Why did you add a splitter in the house box for? Was the db to high coming off the tap?

Yeah the transmit was low by 2db had to add a splitter to get the modem in spec.

When checking for ingress on the drop you disconnect the drop from the tap while the other end still attached to the gB? Or do you disconnect from the gb and tap ??

When Im checking the drop I disconnect from tap and ground block. Inside the house I disconnect from ground block.

What about your pole test? Push,pull, density check with your hammer, fvd meter checking for foreign voltage, large flat head screw driver to push in the ground to make sure pole is not rotting under the ground? No safety eye wear? If your teaching younger new techs rhey need to know these things! So they can go home the same way they came in. IN GOOD HEALTH GOD WILLING
