I've been working at cable industry for 20 yrs from installer to commercial phone installer, to enterprise fiber internet, and currently working as data center engineer. Does video seems to speed up or is it only me? I'd agree about houses being troublesome, often folks doesn't have any installation, maybe coax for cable or sat tv, any other cables are from ISP to CPE.

I worked for AT&T for several years as a install and repair man. I’m really wanting to start a business doing the pre wiring of offices , repair of lines, etc. I don’t think I know enough to offer the it or phone system side of it though

Thank you for your question. I could write a book on how to start an IT company. The way I started my company was with zero dollars. However, start with small installations and if you have enough for a box of cable and 20 jacks that's about all you need to get started. I started with less. I know it sounds crazy but that's what I did. However, if you have some resources, and can afford to buy a box of cable some jacks some tools then you are ahead of the game.
