The Carnage Symbiote storyline is a given DLC. The first game set up the City Never Sleeps DLC with those Black Cat missions, and now in this game, we have those Flame missions with Wraith that set up Cletus Kasady with the Carnage Symbiote.

They had all that time for the previous game, and that’s why is was longer (in my opinion story wise better) and already had DLC ready to go right after it’s release. Sony is 100% having a showcase later this year. Don’t forget…the PS5 PRO is dropping as well later this year too, most likely during the holidays! I wouldn’t be surprised if the SM2 DLC is shadow drop, after the showcase. 🙏

The game has sold extremely well and they were clearly still doing something with it considering the files were still in the debug menu for the ng+ update. They are probably just taking their time and the hack they had definitely delayed things. I mean that delayed ng+ alone by several months do it likely had a larger impact on the dlc

If there is a showcased for later this year, my guess is that it'll be in October because that's when Spider-man 2 dropped last year. Imagine Insomniac drops a Spider-man DLC trailer, plus a Venom game trailer, and a Wolverine trailer on top of that.

Ben Reilly’s Sensational Suit has to come first before Spider-Carnage, as the Carnage Symbiote bonding with his Suit was exactly how Spider-Carnage was born in the comics. And other than the Peter Parker that became Spider-Carnage in the 1994 Cartoon, not that many people know about Spider-Carnage anyways, since he was barely in anything. Wouldn’t mind Spider-Carnage, but the Sensational Suit has been my most wanted Comic Suit for the longest time, and it’s infuriating that it’s just nothing more than a Spider-Bot.

I think the DLC will be announced whenever the showcase happens, but it will release late November/early December. This would be smarter as it would make Christmas sales go way up for the game, and if the DLC takes place in December they could make NYC snowy again so when people wanna play in the snowy NY they can swap to that DLC

The only other time I can see DLC being announced for Spider-Man 2 would be in September if they do a showcase for the PS5 Pro. If it doesn't show up there, I don't think it will show up at all. Insomniac's schedule is probably all over the place right now due to the devastating leak last year and I think they're trying to focus on Wolverine and Spider-Man 3. PlayStation also is in a bine because of them cancelling most of their live service games that was supposed to come out this year and we only got Concord, Astro Bot, and Lego Horizon Adventures coming out. The PS5 Pro is coming out next year and they should be putting their sights on the fall for it. I hope we get DLC, but it's starting to look less likely.

It honestly just feels like insomniac isnt as proud or excited about this game conpared to 2018. The marketing was almost non existent, they hardly talk about the game, its taking this long for DLC to come out if it even is coming out, Sony also bought them and definitely rushed them through the whole SM2 process. It just seems like they are more than ready to drop the project and move on. Im also getting the feeling that the final product isnt exactly the game they wanted to release.

Being able to change the coler of web wings, of course some dlcs, more tendril colors for Peter, more time of days, fix the dialongs for crimes, spider verse Spiderman 2099 suit for Peter, fixing the iron spider suit mask for Peter, being able to go in Peter and miles homes, and being able to change the color of Miles dash to orange or blue. See there's really only two villains possible for the dlc. Carnage and comeleon. Comeleon doesn't really fit for the dlc, and it would be better to be set up for the 3rd game. Carnage, tho fits the idea of being the dlc. In the first game, we had a black cat side mission and ended up getting a black cat dlc. And what do u know, we had an entire storyline for Carnage, not to mention a cletus Cassidy reference. Carnage dlc just seems to fit so well, especially when the main villain of the game was venom. That's just what I think, but even if we do get it, I think it'll be in like a year.

What I would want for a SM2 DLC is mainly a proper introduction to Cindy Moon. It's kinda weird how she only gets a 7 second cameo at the end of the game while Miles got a whole story arc in the first game. I'm hoping we learn her origin, where he mother is, if she's an only child and how her relationship with Miles and Peter will be shaped. If she gets her powers and has her personality and origin introduced in the next game it's to distract from the main story which will be taking down the Green Goblin. Letting us get to know her in DLC and giving her a spin-off game like Miles had will free up a lot of room for SM3 since we'll be playing as all three characters there.

I’m a top hacker/leaker. So everything I say will be considered as “rumors” alright. Next update will be our first DLC story mission releasing September 21, it’s about Spider-Man trying to get back the stolen symbiote that Cletus Cassidy stole. But he won’t appear in this DLC though, the big bad of this DLC will be Beetle. Next story DLC is the 2nd one we’re getting on December 25th as a Christmas gift, maybe they’ll have plans for it to be free just like what GOW did with the Valhalla DLC. The main “big bad” of this DLC will be Chameleon. Now I’m not sure if this is the last story DLC or not but I know only that the main “big bad” will be Carnage. That all, have a good day.

God of War Ragnarok Valhalla update was a free one. That's why they (almost) shadowdropped it. Will not be the case with Spider-Man 2, since they need people to actually buy the DLC. My guess is they just are taking their time to release a disappointment-less update.

If there is going to be DLC. They got to update the gameplay. For example: Upgrade 0% Swing-Assist by getting rid of that system, which tells the player when to let go... let us explore our physics with no limits to combine crazy experimentations. The second is to upgrade the web-line for it to physically BEND around building coners and pole' like structures. Look... If we're going to face symbiote goons again in a DLC, or the freaking Beetle??? Whoever the freak it is. It would be SUCH a nice consideration if they could deliver just ONE new mechanic that's based on the *Web-Strike* from Web of Shadows. ( R2 + 🔺️ ) is RIGHT THERE. As well. It'd be nice to have wall combat IF we're gonna face symbiotes again in a DLC or in the new Venom game.
