I want Quicksilver. We’ve got Wanda and Magneto, finish out the trio. Plus I’d be fascinated how they’d handle a speedster. I could see him either as pure high speed damage, the biggest glass cannon, or even a support who can slow down enemies and speed up teammates.

As someone who's been playing the beta almost religiously: Venom is like the Hammond of Rivals, he swings in, dives, harrasses backline, shields once his health is down, harrasses more, and then when the extra health is gone he swings back out. His ult works as an extra health shield with AOE damage tacked on, which lets him harrass backline for even longer. I don't really know how to explain Thor.. He's great at displacing with his hammer twirl, gets really great survivability and damage with awakening rune, and his ult can really wipe out people if they're not paying attention, although it doesn't hit you if you're above the ground, making characters like Storm and Iron Man kind of ignore it. Mr. Fantastic sounds a lot like Zac from League of Legends, with Rubber Grip and Brainiac Bounce being almost 1 to 1. Having a reflect move is interesting, and I'm wondering how that will interact with Iron Man and Magneto ult, among others. Squirrel Girl - no comment Human Torch - Looks like he's going to be some sort of flying area denial character. He's undoubtedly going to be a little satisfying to play on chokepoints, however I wonder how fast he'll be able to fly as both Iron Man and Storm have been known to be sitting ducks for marksmen such as Hela. Hawkeye is interesting, I wonder how easy it will be to hit the afterimages because it kinda sounds like free damage. Moon Knight's kit focusing on invisible disruption is sort of strange since the only invisible character currently is Loki, who isn't a particularly glaring threat by himself. I already know for a fact Black Widow is going to make people switch characters, aforementioned flying characters especially. Adam Warlock is a decent healer. His damage output is nothing to be laughed at, and the fact that he can revive not only himself but also starlord and mantis through his teamup means that the enemy team has their work cut out for them if they aren't able to close out at advantage state immediately after killing some of them. Karmic Revival more than not ends in Warlock dying since the charge up period lasts longer than you'd expect. Cloak and Dagger being able to officially have half of their kit dedicated to dealing damage means that this might be the strategist people pick when they're forced to play support lmao. Ultron looks like someone's designated pocket healer. As a tank main, I'm excited. Jeff is an interesting case. He is by far the most "support" out of all of the strategists. His right click is his only damage move, and the rest are solely for healing. The bubbles can prove really helpful in a pinch and his water beam is the most consistent form of healing output in the game currently (provided he doesn't miss it.) His ult is also incredibly good and can singlehandedly push past a chokepoint by swallowing both of a team's tanks. That being said, his headshot hitbox is the literal FRONT OF HIS BODY, which makes him incredibly vulnerable to marksmen like Hela. His ult also leaves him really vulnerable and I've seen him swallow one person before getting dogpiled by all five team members immediately afterwards, leading to his death. Okay, wrote a lot more than I was expecting, but I'm happy that I did. I hope they add deadpool soon that would be pretty cool

@@IPG444 truth be told I’ve never played these types of games but I love marvel and my overwatch loving friends are begging me to play it when it releases. I dunno how balanced something like this would be but for antman I think it would be cool if he has something similar to Peni Parker but instead of spiders it was a bunch ants that he could swarm onto enemies, maybe they’d be able to disable to abilities for a short time? I’d also like to see him be able to shrink and grow obviously, I think I’d be cool if he was a tank that could grow larger and gain lots of health but attack slowly and in a pinch he can shrink to get away. Cool stuff like that!

Would be really funny to see a swarm of ants attack people and disable their equipment. I would laugh my butt off every time I saw a swarm of ants. Awesome ideas on Antman being a tank and explaining how changing size would work in game. Fantastic Ideas you brought up. I would say give the game a try if they do an open beta test, or just hop on when it releases in December. If you have friends that enjoy Overwatch, and have always wanted to play a style of game like that, then this is the game for you. The hardest part about Overwatch and this game is understanding how chaotic it can get. Awesome discussion you brought up.

The leaks have been very true, but also someone putting out crazy information about the exact characters being added, and their movesets is very hard to just make up, on a whim so quick. I took a gamble and saw how the information was correct with previous added heroes, and knew it had to be true in some sort of fashion. I hope you're right about those characters coming sooner, because that would be fire. I'm excited to play the game again after months of waiting. Who do you want in the game next? I hope Wolverine gets added next.

Hearing that Ultron will be a healer with a drone squad is honestly refreshing. There's already so many good DPS characters, so getting a flying support/healer role for my favorite character is a nice change of pace and it still fits his character as a strategist who sits back and sends his drones on the battlefield. Also the Encephalo Ray is a nice easter egg from the comics and really tells you the developers did their research with the character.

Yea I know they take a lot from the comics and apply it to the game which is super dope, even the skins tell you what comic their based on, its super cool. You're 100% right about how they could be adding too many damage characters and its best to find creative ways for characters to become vanguard or strategist. I'm happy Ultron is a strategist, and like you said, it works for Ultron, and seems like it will be fun to play.

For a superhero thats main power is self healing and near-immortality, they have to find a way to make him lore accurate and not game breaking. I hope Cap ends up being a Strategist with a Brigitte style "Inspire" heal. The ability name even fits him. Honestly he could have a full kit very similar to Brig's, with a personal shield, a shield bash, and a shield throw in the place of whip shot (he could even toss medkits at people lol). There's also a few reasons why I think it's possible he won't be a Vanguard. First, they've changed the Vanguard icon to no longer be Cap's shield. It's possible it was changed because it would be awkward to have it there but not have Cap be a Vanguard. Second, the spray shown looks like Cap just isn't bulky enough to be a Vanguard. It's difficult to tell for sure from just the spray, but he doesn't look like he'll be tall like Dr Strange either. Third --though this one is pure speculation-- it's possible the Rivals dev team is keeping in mind making somewhat viable team comps that can be comprised of actual Marvel Comics teams. For example, for Guardians of the Galaxy, we currently have Groot - Vanguard, Star Lord - Duelist, and Rocket/Mantis - Strategists. Once they get around to adding Gamora (who will definitely be a Duelist) and Drax (who could be a Vanguard with raging, DnD Barbarian-style damage reduction), the Guardians would have a full 2-2-2 team (with Adam Warlock as a substitute Strategist). With this in mind, the Avengers already have Hulk and Thor as the Vanguards, and Iron Man and Black Panther as Duelists, but no Strategist. To me, Cap is one of the few Avengers that could fit that role. Iron Fist can also use chi to heal, so I think it's very likely that he'll be a Strategist, not a Duelist. And if I'm wrong about Cap, he could be our first melee Strategist. This one's a bit of a stretch, but because Invisible Woman uses shields for herself and allies, she could maybe be a defensive Vanguard. Though the size issue I brought up with Cap could debunk this theory outright, unless she's a Vanguard with low HP, or constantly lives in a bubble, or pulls a Ramattra with a kind of Green Lantern style Forcefield Mech to give her a bigger hurtbox. Also, if Mr Fantastic really is a Vanguard (unfortunate, I was hoping he'd be a science-based healer) then my team comp theory would go against this idea, too. So I suppose as a Strategist they could just have her bubble shields heal whoever she puts them on/around, like the Halo drop shield does.

My brother and I thought Cap could be like brig, and thought they could go that route right away, if their were any abilities leaked for Cap it would be easy to tell what role, and to be honest I hope he's brig lol. It would be fun and even like you said have a team that consists of all Avengers would up how much fun the game is. I like the ideas you bring up too, and maybe We could talk through discord and come up with cool ideas, if your down of course for that and maybe make a video. Also I'm happy someone is mentioning Iron Fist because that's another one that had nothing really revealed, and I like where your heads at, because I don't want too many damage characters and seems the case by me guessing at what role they could be, similar to how I thought Wolverine could either be vanguard or damage similar to your idea of Invisible woman. I hope they add more interesting or popular characters into the strategist role, because that role is lacking. I could see MODOK being strategist too. I want people to play strategist too, but I hope when the game drops people just play flex or characters from every role, not saying play them all but play at least 1 vanguard, 1 damage, and 1 strategist because it will help you in the long run and fully understanding how the game functions. I agree with you also about people locking damage but if their doing great I won't complain even if I have 4 damage lol. I'm never a biggest fan of hero shooter or fps/tps in general but this game, with its Marvel character really intrigued me. I hope they will balanced the character role, because as far as i know, most hero shooter lean to much on damager, where they have a lot character on that role. If i can choose a character to be added, i hope they add Gambit, especially after i watch Deadpool 3 last night. Maybe having him throwing card as main attack and having the bo staff as passive/alternate attack that triggered when enemies is in somewhat close range is an interesting thing. Make the basic card throw fast but kinda low on damage and leave a mark that can be triggered after a certain amount of stack or by his melee attack. For the melee attack, make it a somewhat medium/slow attack that have more damage and if the card stack is triggered by his melee, maybe it can not only damage the opponent but also slow or stun them. And for more added mechanic, the card will only explode after a certain amount of stack, maybe 5 or 7 or more and deal bonus damage. It can also be triggered by the melee attack no matter the stack but it will only deal half damage but on the other hand the enemies is slowed down or stunned for a few moment. Not only that, the card stack will gome after a few seconds if we stop attacking the same enemies. I don't know about the other skill because i don't know hoe many skill the character for Marvel Rivals has, but even from the basic attack that i created, i think Gambit can be an interesting character with a risk and reward gameplay

Fire comment. I like the ideas you present. Yep I feel some characters definitely need tweaking, because they are over tuned. You're right they lean too much on damage and is why I tried to place each character in other roles, and even guess some of the damage could potentially be other roles, because too many damage characters vs, having 5 vanguards would be rough. Gambit was so cool to see, and it being Channing Tatum was awesome. It ranges on how many skills they can have. Some have 3, while others have 4-5. I like the idea a ton about Gambit. That's super cool and I hope he gets added, because from what you wrote he's very unique. Awesome Comment

Ok about that, there was a survey you can take in game that let's you choose what monetization options you want added in the future, and their was a separate section about if all characters should be free or not. I chose for all characters to be free, cause it would be BS if you spent 20 dollars just to get 10 characters that you maybe play 2 of them. That also leads to issue such as the clip in overwatch of someone leaving mid match and buying the battle pass with Mauga in it, just to win the game

I agree, I hope they keep making all the popular characters as well as at times at random curve balls to the mix to spice things up, and balance out the game. I would say with the game's lifespan is hard telling since the game hasn't officially launched/ releases yet, and also compared to other Marvel games this is actively a multiplayer game that isn't a solo campaign or multiplayer campaign like other Marvel games that lasted only a year. I will say that the game could last a very long time or short time based on a few key things, number 1 the professionalism they have with the game is very poor right now, when their is a developer showing off the game on a laptop of all things and to add that footage from the laptop was laggy, and very poor quality. On top of that they don't know how to write patch notes, because their missing a ton of information form alpha to beta such as spider-man losing 50 health. Other factors are how often they add maps, characters, balancing, and bug fixes. If their only focused on making money they are screwed like every other modern video game company, but if they care about the community and content for free to play then the game can last for quite a while. Great comment, and fantastic discussion that you brought up. I will say it boggles my mind to show off the game on a laptop that can't even run the game. I also believe that the patch notes are the worse I ever seen.

The second part to your comment is that right now there's a third survey that ask what kinds of monetization you want to see in the game, I was going to cover it in a video because its pretty important, and they had a separate section asking if heroes should be free, you have some but most cost money, or you have a ton for free, but some cost money. I chose for all free as to avoid another overwatch problem. Locking characters behind a paywall in which let's theorize for a second ok, say Ghost rider cost 10 bucks to get similar to what it cost to earn a character in valorant, and say ghost rider counters Venom. Venom is dominating on the enemy team, and now you lose unless you spent the 10 bucks to counter Venom. That's just a theory, and this same theory actually happen in overwatch when Mauga was released. Great points to bring up and shows that the devs are very quiet over monetization and it could get bad. Fire comment

I like the ideas you present, and I think if their making this survey it shows that they want to take the direction maybe of going free to play and making every cosmetic monetized, or other ways to monetize the game, such as the option of lottery tickets, which sounds like loot boxes. I do hope all the characters are free, because back in the day with Siege it cost money for every new character or you can grind so many points to get a character for free. I think that's fine but now a days I think about how Overwatch tried to do the same thing and it was awful. I just had the worst idea: Nitro 💀 (Marvel comic fans will know) I think it should be like this for Dr Doom ( on PS5 so I’ll map it out of PS5): R2 would be a Magic based attack that can do significant amount of damage to enemies. L2 would be a technology or science based attack like an electric attack or something like that. R1 would create a force field around Doom and other teammates for a couple seconds that they can fire through. L1 would have Doom use his teleportation Magic to teleport to a specific part of the map, like Dr Strange’s portal but much quicker and for singular person use only. Square could be where Doom uses magic and technology to absorb incoming attacks from enemies, turning it into extra health for himself. His passive would be where he could passively heal his team so long as he is below a certain percent of health and it would be massive just small amounts. His ultimate would be he can hypnotize another enemy player for a maximum of 10 seconds and what makes it powerful would be if he does as the enemy player, they die too, but he will be fine no matter what. So long as he has a safe place to hide. That’s my idea for Dr Doom.

WOWZA Fire Comment, and I love the idea. I've waited to see if anyone had a DOOM ability concept and this is Epic. I like the ideas you present and could see this very well being how Doom plays since you incorporated both his magic and tech side. Thank you for the fire comment, and I could see Doom very well playing this way.

I also had the idea for a team up between Magneto and Doom where Magneto builds a Doombot and Doom infused it with magic and it walks to the nearest enemy and starts firing

@@acemarvel1564 I like that because We have dive characters but not really any rush characters that just run in and out, similar to dive but not through vertical movement but through a quick horizontal charge like you brought up. Cool ideas to share, and thank you. I like this idea and would help the game not have too many damage and allows another vanguard to exist.
