Ayyy this is such a badass piece👌🏻 congrats, it looks beautiful. I ,also, just received my Left Handed Cabot like 2 weeks ago and i f**king LOVE IT. The finish on it looks "next level" and the attention to detail all over the gun is truly impressive. The checkering is one of the most captivating features on it! It's always badass to see others enjoying their Cabot 1911.

Genius checkering design thanks for the lesson i love gaining new knowledge i hate when people are so set in there ways they don't wanna listen and learn it just makes them dumber for refusing to change there mind or disagree i did that alot when i was younger now i realize how annoying that can be lol

So it catches your hand in reverse reverse angeled like a snake or monitor lizard teeth just not sharp rhombus checkering that's genius I did not know until your video that Cabot was responsible for the meteorite twins that awesome if you look at the triggers on them they are very crude and rough some other parts of them are too to keep the nostalgia of the meteorite in the craftsmanship and other parts are very polished I agree with you on performance and to tight tolerance though I was super disappointed in my first Kimber because it was way to tight and it wasn't nearly as expensive as one of those things I need my guns to work and if they happen to be pretty that's a bonus that's why I liked your save a snake video so much because royal blue smooth shooting and gorgeous very practical firearm.ps I don't hear any clicking on you cycling that Cabot that is weird smooth sounding how did they correct your tolerance issue I thought mine needed to be broken in my Kimber that is and it was a beautiful nice heavy full size but it wasn't that after Kimber returned it to me tightened up again after tons of cash in ammo trying to break it in it fed exactly the same which was poorly idk if you have any advice on that but what could I do I re sold it private party letting a good friend of mine knowing the issues I was having with it he still wanted it so I made most of my $ back but not range time and ammo to break it in it was probably a quality control issue for the most part as tight as that Cabot is I'm surprised it even cycles especially at that price point I'd be pissed if I had to mail and wait for my 5000 gun to come back but if anyone is wondering the specific kimber i was talking about it's a entry level gun it was the full size kimber stainless II how does you Cabot shoot now though because im really digging the rhombus checkering and tightness of the slide as long as it reliably cycles sorry bro I know my comments are long but I have a lot of questions and everyone else is asleep and I'm bored LOL but besides the feeding issues with my Kimber I can tell you that I am way more efficient in hitting very small Target at well beyond typical self-defense range but nearly every good 1911 I've ever fired I'm not bragging but just have been able to group good with them my Glock 9 mm and a very reliable gun but I am way more confident in hitting my target with a 1911 I'd imagine the trigger guards on most 1911r a little small for your hands though because those were meant mostly for young military officers or draft service members a that were mostly young men with small or long and skinny fingers I have long skinny fingers so they work great for me and the reset is always good in my opinion as well as the trigger pull even on the citadel 2011 or the Rock Island arms 1911 which is about as cheap as you can go as far as 1911 pistols are concerned except for the old Norinco 1911s but you can't really get them any more new because of the import law of chinese-made guns or ammo if that is still a thing

@tannernorton7868 they did not say what they did. I have had several Cabots I have gotten for folks. That one was the only .anor issue. They did not tell me what they did to correct it.

I remember when they first premiered ,read an article in ( if I remember correctly) American Rifleman about them. The thing that made an impression was the fact that the pistols were manufactured using aerospace machinery and how it contributed to the extremely tight tolerances( and repeatability in manufacturing) - they sure do put out an incredible gun.

They are the tightest tolerance of any 1911s I have ever owned. I have had all the high end ones. They also make mirror image sets. Loon them up. Left and right hand matching ones

That was the guy who made the 1911s out of that meteorite I never heard of the brand but did see the video a long time ago of the twin meteorite 1911s but that's a beautiful gun I honestly don't like the star look on the trigger but the gun is gorgeous though did those meteorite 1911s come in left and right hand set I can't remember
