All credit to Jolene on these builds, she surely does know how to drive a camera well. So steady and in exactly the right place to get the action whilst keeping clear of chad as he works.Well done Mi'Dear you do an excellent job.

Using the English wheel to create the compound curve may have made this job easier. Wondering why he doesn't use it. Maybe he could enlighten us.

Jolene, you do very fine video work. But I do have a nit. Chad's occasional loud outbursts and grinder noise has me quickly tuning down the volume button when those things occur. I know little about video programs but assume they have volume controls. In audio recording, there is a compressor that acts as an automatic volume control. You set the highs and lows. It keeps the audio between those boundaries. It would be neat if you tame the audio a bit. The compressor can help immensely. If a compressor is not available, I'll still listen as the videos are so well done.

I think "Bad Chad" should change the name of his show to. "Builds With No Ends" or "Builds With No CLOSURES". A normal viewer likes CLOSURE, if you guys think THIS car will get finished think again. He started 6 builds, you see that number and none of them are finished Jolene's Bugatti was started 6 years ago and the car is side lined once again.

I wonder if this will be a real car, or maybe art for the door yard.
@eltonnoway5692
@eltonnoway5692 3 жыл бұрын
Yep... Chad has a habit of taking a new build or idea to a certain point then moving it to the door yard when he gets bored with it and moves on to another project. The good news is he eventually brings each of them back into the shop from time to time and does a little more. Like Jolenes Bugatti... which has been in process for many years now.

@@eltonnoway5692 I can relate to bad chad, I have a very bad case of ADHD I probably will get bored and not finish my comment Lol, anyways I like the way he uses his skills on every level even if he doesn't finish anything he starts right away but, it keeps us coming back for more just to see what he's up to in his brain of thoughts and he is a damn good likeable person for sure he's Artistik, honest, smart, talented, caring, and giving, and a dang hard worker.. he's my favorite for sure he keeps cost way down.. then sells projects for big money that's the way you have to be in building unique cars if you want to make a ton of money... someone will pay whatever for one of his cars just because Bad Chad Hiltz built it with his bare hand and pretty much old school equipment. That's what makes his car even better totally hand made Art.. I differently want to see him make a Eddie munster T-Bucket roadster 🏎 and of course with a 440 magnum.. and hope he uses Raffle Tickets for the give away car that would be awesome plus I think it would charge up his youtubes followers...👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

It's Saturday and the trunk is looking great so far, it's amazing how well you finished the square tubing around the back. Let's see how great the trunk looks once you have the cover on it. I think you are right not having the trunk as a usable spot being that you would have to climb over the lower body just open it, have it as a non opening design feature not a usable trunk. Thanks Mark Dutka

Jolene really is amazing on the camera I think. I believe she could do a “how to” video, on “how to video”. Maybe she went to school, or maybe she’s just a natural. I would think there is some sort of opportunity to make some money teaching people her talent. Also every video seems to be better than the last. Seems that way to me anyway

What hand dolly was that. Touch grinding top weld. Good work!!! Card board to start quarter inch add around to hole outside to the lip of the trunk. The folded joints makes for more mudd. Prefer to center each side and center of the sheet. You do good work. I’m not a body man. Done a little fab over the years. Cut three inch section from the lip, center points the then tack away from. Every is index from centers weather you use measurement or not. Just trying to understand how you think as you go. We all have are ways. But the processes is educating, THANKS!!!

Chad, regarding the trunk cover ... you do have an english wheel, don't you? That is the answer to the complex curves on that piece.
@geofo60
@geofo60 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, or use a dolly that conforms with the shape you’re aiming to create. I noticed Chad was using a slab dolly. I’d have reached for a comma dolly and used the curved profile to bring up the low areas & preferably used a “flipper/slapper” instead of a panel hammer. I’m a retired panel beater from the U.K. and served my apprenticeship on high end vehicles. We didn’t have new fangled shrinking & stretching machines back then, just dollies, hammers, body files, sandbags and a flame. Not forgetting lead & tallow.
