I'm a Yankee fan (born & raised in NY), & as a baseball fan also, I've followed Miguel Cabrera's career since its inception & congratulate him for his outstanding accomplishments & wish him continued success. My only wish would have been that a very dear & close friend who passed away last February & was a huge Detroit Tiger's fan, could have been part of this proud ceremony. He loved his Tigers - & so to you Mark (& I know you're smiling), this one's for you !

It's really nice how close Miggy got with Willie Horton and the late great Al Kaline. He knows and loves the lineage of greats he's joined and largely surpassed.

People forget that Miggy would have won BACK TO back triple crowns as well had Chris Davis not happen to hit 54 homers and had just one more RBI in 2013. Davis-.286 BA 54 HR, 139 RBI Cabrera- .348 BA 44 HR 138 RBI
