Hi, Ben. That 1926-D SLQ is gorgeous. No way it's not questionable color! LOL. Same thing with the 1919-S Lincoln. It's gorgeous. I love the 1876 Proof Seated dime in cameo. The 1867 pattern is gorgeous. I love the 1951 proof * Cam Washington. I would accept it! Speaking of Purple Hue, That would be a killer name for a song. The 1897 Indian Cent is SWEET! It should have gotten a cameo designation. On the 1845 $2.50, the striations seem to go more from right to left. The 1920 Merc is beautiful. I hope you can have my Type1 Buffalo nickel, which you have seen, evaluated by CAC. Let me know, PLEASE. Of all the coins in this lot, I like the 1897 Indian Cent the best. *TYU*

When it comes to those old NGC holdered coins, there's nothing questionable about the toning. The answer is simple: the slab did it. Rim toning from slabs and albums, in my experience, is never dinged as artificial/questionable.

So many really nice coins! The 1845 2½ dollar gold - Yes, the reverse is beautiful and lustrous. However, the obverse is loaded with many nearly horizontal scratches, and the die is badly worn as shown by the die crack running from star three through four and onto star five. Also is that a little die crack protruding from Liberty's upper lip? Granted the vertical striations are from polishing or wiping the die, the graininess of the profile head again evinces the worn obverse die and disruption of normal mint bloom. In short, I don't think it was CAC bean-worthy. But a good case for split grades for each side of the coin.

CAC reveals are my favorite coin videos. Great results for a first sub! I’d sub the SLQ for recon for a gold bean. I have a green bean 26-D 64 in a rattler that looks 66 to me, so I subbed for recon but it didn’t upgrade. If I had to guess why it’d be that the strike is too weak, which is of course common for the issue. I’m not an expert but could there be some high point friction/rub on Liberty’s head on the 47 Walker? Or perhaps that’s just how the issue often comes?

Does CAC keep a log of cert#'s that dont meet CAC? Meaning, can you look up if the coin was already sent in and then got rejected? If that were the case that would lower the value of the coin and hurt you when you are trying to increase the value? Things that make you go hmmmm.
