Glad to see the cacao has come back and healthy as ever. I still remember your videos from 2018 and the devastation . That island has always bounced back thanks for keeping us updated.

Does your friend sell whole ripe pods, and also, at what stage in the ripening process are the beans ready to be planted for new plants?
@gabehumphries54832 жыл бұрын
Sorry my friend does not sell pods. When the beans are ready to make chocolate they are ripe enough to sprout. Just takes more time.

I absolutely love chocolate! I saw your other videos and would love to learn what equipment I need to really start making my own chocolates on a commercial level I'd like to use as little extra Ingredients as possible and make them really healthy but delicious. I just don't know where to start and if I can skip the fermentation process and just buy the nibs and everything to just put into a tempering machine? Anyways, would love any help in that direction, thanks for sharing!

what do you do with the juice collected during fermentation of the beans? I think I recall you drinking it.
@gabehumphries54832 жыл бұрын
Sometimes I drink the juice collected after the first day. The juice could be made into a champagne. I will make a cacao juice champagne and do a video on it. Thank you for stopping by.

Methods to extract cacao juice?
@gabehumphries54832 жыл бұрын
You need a container with a screen and about a 3 inch gap on the bottom with a drain plug. Put fresh cacao beans in the container on the screen and drain the liquid the next day. An ice cooler with a drain plug works great. Or you could use a water container with a spigot at the bottom.
