The simple fact that you were at Emirates and now fly at United Airlines answers the “which is better question”, even though you don’t want to.

"I disagree with the idea that everyone's decision to come to the US is the same. The reasons why I came to the US may not reflect the opinions of others. These videos aim to provide information that can be used as a decision-making tool for those who have options in their lives. I have many friends who are American citizens or authorized to work in the US, yet they choose to stay in the Middle East."

Hello Caner, all good points. A better analysis to add on to this would be cost of living in Texas compared to UAE (No point in comparing Cali/Colorado/NY).
@CanerAcarbay6 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I agree with you. In the video, I compared the average salary in the US to that in the UAE. However, I only briefly mentioned that the take-home pay varies by state, which means the numbers presented cannot be entirely accurate. Nonetheless, that was the intention of the video. Thank you for your input.

Hello Caner. I loved the video. The Only thing I'd like your feedback from is academy. I was researching and I found out that it costs ~180k for 2 year program. Is there any way to do the academy and then pay a cut of salary each month when you work for them. Kind of a debt

@EdreessIkhmayes3 ай бұрын
401k is basically investing in stocks, bonds, etc… the 8% is the average annual growth of the money you invest for retirement. It grows crazy because it’s compounding.

Of course US airlines pay crazy money when they are desperte for pilots like post covid. Now situation is stable and maybe going sloghtly down. US pilot market goes up and down with the hightest amplitude on Earth. When there is a huge demand you can make fortune. When they dont you, they will fire or offer very low salary. During previous crisis crew was working for nothing and some of them będę sleeping in the campers with a food stamps to survive. Luckly you Enter prime time and take adventage of this, because this eldorado will be over soon
@CanerAcarbay6 ай бұрын
Certainly, I can help you with that. Here's a revised version of the text: "Thank you for your comment, but I'm afraid I have to respectfully disagree. In the United States, there is a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) between companies and airlines. Unlike airlines in the Middle East, when things are going down, US airlines don't fire pilots; they furlough them. Additionally, wages are also determined by the CBA. Aviation is a fragile sector and crises occur every ten years or so. Covid-19 has shown that this is not unique to America, as Asian, Middle Eastern, and European companies have also had to let people go. However, due to measures taken, American pilots have been impacted the least. My point is that crises will always be a part of the aviation industry, not just for American airlines or pilots, but globally."
@toffonardi70374 ай бұрын
in the nxzt 5 years there will be lots of new pilots in the us and the payment will decrease a lot, for new comers, so it's just a limited amount of time and also you have to spende CRAZY amount of money for everything in the us so don't think that 250k or even 300k is more than what emirates gives, because at the end of the day it's less
@toffonardi70374 ай бұрын
@@CanerAcarbay no, the difference is that in usa they lost hundred of thousands of licenses in the last 20 years because salary was shit and nobody wanted to be a pilot (I studied there I had my flight training there, I remember how I was considered much less than a taxi driver and much less than a truck driver) now with all these videos that say that money is good lots of people will come back to be pilot in the usa. and this situation IS NOT HAPPENING IN EUROPE or Asia or middle east because in those areas NOBODY thinks that pilot is a shitty job so the number of pilots will never go down. so you're not having a special job in the us you're having an ORDINARY job that NOW is paid better but what people think about aviation STAYS THE SAME. you're not as socially respected in the us compared to other areas, but you never mention this. and I'm sure you know that since you live in the us
