The more Catch stuff i see the more intrigued i am with the style. All that Billy Robinson stuff is gold too. Pretty much everything you guys put out is top notch. Thanks guys!

This is right in my style of game plan. Can't wait to drill it tomorrow and see what happens. Thx for the knowledge.

I also think that the forward roll helps to create forward momentum that will increase torque on your opponent's arm and also set up a potential Kimura/Omo plata type shoulder lock.

1) The dive roll makes it easier to keep tight to the opponent's body. Just sitting back would require you to engage your core a lot more to remain as tight, even with you holding your own shin and figure fouring your legs. 2) Where you're positioned you're already leaning forward in the direction of the dive roll. You'd have to use more energy to rock backwards then going with the momentum forwards.

@luchador1764 I think it's really important that you get it as tight as possible. Secure the hold and the position completely until there's no space at all before you put on pressure and finish him.

Ok you got me excited now, i watched your anatomy of the liver shot( i think that was the one) where the doc drew kisers liver on his chest and i really liked it. Now i am pretty much in love with chokes so when i heard about this vid months ago i really wanted to see it. Do i have to pay to become a member?

I'm a MD local and now I have to come check out the CSW studio. Quick question, instead of rolling forward, could you just roll back since the elbow compression is already in place?

are we gonna see the anatomy of the choke antime soon lad?

(I know this is a year old) If you fall back your opponent would probably be on his back, when you roll he is on his knees or belly down. It seems to me it would be better to have him on his knees (as a BJJ player if he starts to get out our has a high pain tolerance I would be looking for a omoplata/triangle re-counter)
@Th4w12 жыл бұрын
@sxstrngsamurai13 Yes, it would be a lot faster, but the roll creates much more tension on the opponent's arm + it gets him confused.

Seems like falling backward would be easier and quicker to lock that figure 4 and secure the hold.

Beautiful and painful ;) [insert evil laughs here] Thank you very much for sharing this excellent technique.

im having trouble finishing this submission. i get into it just fine but after i roll i cant seem to finish. Anybody who has attempted this move or is just good at short arm scissors in general please post any tips you can think of off the top of your head that could help me finish the move. If you havent tried this move, i dont want your input.

Like the video. However, one comment I have is that you pretty much have a head scissors chain right before you decided to execute the chicken wing technique. Normally, I'd rather not forego a sub that is right there before the chicken wing, but I like the setup. Great stuff, just an old Catch guy.

@GoenitzLoveSeth then why did it still hurt him? hurr
@jicudi14 жыл бұрын
@1lostinspace Many people can take that.
@GoenitzLoveSeth13 жыл бұрын
@iarcheese I'm sure that this manouver hurts even if done this way. ...But if you do it in the correct way it will hurt a LOT more. If a man post it and want to teach it, well... Teach it correct. Catch as catch can is ancient and very complicated, but too much people want to teach it in a "no precise" way. I told you that a very BASIC LAW of Catch is not applied here. You must know basics before trying with advanced manouvers , even if they look cool...

It's always like clockwork that the douchebags come out to comment on how you're not doing the technique as well as they could. Awesome move!
