Thank you so much, Lyn 😊 Yeah I like the upgrades and overall it seems better than the older model, apart from the driver/dimmer box being mounted on top sideways lol. Makes it a bit awkward with the power cord coming out the front rather than on the side with where my socket is situated. Haworthia have already reacted with their flower spikes growing towards it! Thank you for watching and commenting as always, Lyn. Have a wonderful evening and rest of the weekend from Edith & myself to you and Hans ❤️🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜

Thanks for the vid Daz! I wish Mars Hydro would show the hanging height on the ppfd test map, makes it pretty pointless not knowing the height. Also, seeing your Haworthia collection all together...wow! Just the Haworthias alone are nearly as much as everything in the greenhouse!
@Cactimania2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s a bit strange there is no hanging height on those, as you say it kind of makes it a bit pointless. Haha yeah I do have quite a few Haworthia, and there’s more seedlings in another room! Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜

My TS600 is creating way too much heat for my little tent, and probably a bit too bright for seedlings since I can;t raise it any higher. Would TS1000 be a good upgrade in order to reduce the temperature output and light stress? I really like the dimming feature and detachable power supply on TS1000, but not sure how efficient it is. Thanks!
@Cactimania2 жыл бұрын
Yeah the TS1000 is a way better light, I’ve retired my TS600 now. Having the dimming function and being able to remove the driver is a nice bonus. Definitely worth the upgrade. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏻🌵☀️🌼🏜

You probably are one of the very first who have this grow light in the UK, Sweetheart! 😱 That’s an awesome light and made even more awesome with the upgrades. I know you’re not really keen on the positioning of the driver on top but still, it’s a powerful light. 🥰 I’m sure the plants will be happy especially the variegated ones because they need consistent light for healthier growth. Well done on this video! ❤️👏🏼👍🏼🌸🌼🌺🌵💚
@Cactimania2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much my love 🥰 Yeah I’ve not seen many other videos with this latest model. I’ll get used to how the driver/dimmer is situated, maybe Mars Hydro will say exactly why it’s positioned that way. The Haworthia have already reacted to being under it for only a few days 😊 Enjoyed watching with you babe, thank you for all your love, support and encouragement as always ❤️🌵🤗😘🌸❤️

i am looking to change out my T5 growlights. How hot do the ts1000 get on the top? i have only 90 cm high growtent, and worry about the heat and fire hazard, if i place it 20 cm from the tent top. Best regards from Denmark :)

Love your channel, I am also using the mars hydro ts1000, but I am noticing that there seems to be some drying of my cacti. Like the ribs went from a green to brown and the flowers stems seem to really get super dry. I have yet to be able to successfully pollinate any of my gymnos as the stems get crispy, when I use the cutting method they get extremely crisped in like a day and shrivel to half size. I am hanging at 40 cm with ppfd at 500ish for 14 hours, I don’t know where I’m going wrong. Also I realized this is a long comment sorry about that lol 😂
@Cactimania2 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 40cm might be a little low, especially if you have the light on 100% brightness for that duration. Most of my lights are hung at around 18 to 20 inches above the plants. It took me a while to find the sweet spot on these lights where the plants were happy and not getting too much light or not enough. Growing under lights you may have to water a little more frequently, too. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜

don't buy these lights when the drivers die, and they will this company does not honor the manufactures warranty and charge you a lot of money for shipping after 1 year and the manufactures warranty is 5 years it's the only part of the light that can and will burn out
