hey thanks for your videos !! . I received the new MS TS 1000 today and noticed that 2 red LEDs are just glowing. All other LEDs light up great and can also be dimmed... but with 2 red LEDs nothing happens... They glow a little bit ,.. but do not get brighter ... Are they IR Led or are they defective? I haven't received an answer from MarsHydro yet ... I would be very happy if someone would answer this for me :) Greetings from Germany :)

8:04 So is that space there you are using to test the output the same size space you recommend for this light? If not then your test proves nothing as you are gaining from light reflection in that small test space.. You can fool some of the people some of the time.

I have a ts1000 for about two and a half years.. never had a problem but recently my driver started flashing and then it would just turn on out of the blue sometimes and turn off out of the blue sometimes depends the situation.. so they replaced my driver with a new a new one that has a dimmer switches and stuff all I had to do was pay for shipping which was $20 so I think that's pretty cool almost 3 years later they honor their warranty....

For instance, I liked this review enough to know that I justified placing this grow light on my Wish List at Amazon but if I can get just as good a deal or better through his link I will be glad to pay it forward for a well-done review.

you should try migrolight aray 4 from Shane, 3 meters cable and driver where you want (Y)
@twentytwo1382 жыл бұрын
I hate the Mars driver and cable management! I had a Mars TS2000 and the cables were so short i couldn't place the driver outside. It only has 1.5 or 2 meters cable length in total, but from the driver to the fixture is maybe 50cm only. In a tent 180cm high it's impossible to do it properly. And the 2 smaller cables that go from each side into the light fixture were also short and tight, i couldn't lower the light fixture less than half the tent. I spent hours trying to place the driver outside somehow but it was a pain in the a*s and i gave up. Just get a Migro with a 3 meter cable, it has 1.5 meters of cable from each side of the driver so you can place it anywhere. And he also sells extension cords. With Migro you can place the driver in your neighbor's house and you'd still have freedom to move the fixture and extra cable.

@OG_VeniVidiVici2 жыл бұрын
150w isn’t a lot of power for a 2x2, that’s like running 600w in a 4x4 which was like standard back in the day. 700 average par is about the best any budget light has done, *especially* at that hanging height. One thing a lot of companies miss the mark on is penetration, and so hitting those numbers at a decent distance is really just great.
@nicklohry9284 Жыл бұрын
Well, considering the standard 2by2 light these days is a 100watt quantum board I would have to say 150watts certainly "IS" a nice chunk of power for a 2by2. Sure, there are people shoving FC-3000s inside of a 2by2 and killing it lol! But, it's NOT the standard. And a light that size is certainly NOT made for a space that small. So as far as a "Standard" 2by2 light goes, I would say this light is absolutely packing punch for a 2by2. And YES I do personally own a TS-1000. It's the baking tin model, but pretty much the same thing only the new one runs a Mars driver instead of a Moso driver. And the reflector is White instead of aluminum/silver. It is absolutely a GREAT entry level light for someone growing in a 2by2 or a 2.5by2.5 is even GREAT. I know because my flowering space is a 2ftby2.5ft and it's does great. Would certainly recommend this light for new grower's. Like I say typical 1000 model lights for MOST companies are only 100watt boards where as the TS-1000 is a 150watt board. I also bout a 150watt Gro planner quantum board. However, that board was a pain and I sold it without ever even using it lol. Because of the fact that you had to have Wifi to be able to control anything to do with the light. Then shortly after I bout mine they made a new version where they skipped all the bullshit and just made it a simple external dimmer control and what not.

I have 2 ts 1000s one is the older model and this new one your showing here. They are both running next to each other in my grow space (closet). I'm growing 2 plants 1 under each of the same strain. It seems the older model reflector more concentrates the light more towards the middle of the light as the new reflector is shorter in depth and allows light to escape out the sides more then the other. And also I couldn't figure out how to daisy chain the 2 together as the drivers are different. So far I'm happy with my results but not happy with the fact I can't tie them together.

Hi Shane, i have a Question for you please, What type of lights would work best in an area of 8mtrs x 5mtrs. I have a room the above size and want to hang some grow lights for my plants. 8x5 mtrs is the total room size, I'm looking to have an area of approx 6mtrs long by 2mtrs wide. I would prefer to hang the lights from the roof rather than having a few standing lights. Is there lights that would suit my purpose? Thank you.
@menasouvlaki35952 жыл бұрын
Mate, basically it's a 4 X 3 but twice. So get 2 X a light that'll suit a 4x3. Probably two lights
@MIGROLIGHT2 жыл бұрын
Your area is 6 x 2 = 12m2. If you are growing photos for an average PAR of 900µmols you need 330 watts per Sqm of high efficiency LEDs. Total required would be 330 x 12 = 3,960 watts of high efficiency LEDs. Select a light which you can subdivide your space into, for example 1m x 1m x 12 lights to fill the space. thanks , Shane
@gregkramer55882 жыл бұрын
That is a big area no doubt. Of course Shane gets right to the point. How you choose to subdivide the area is a big part of it. There are not really individual lights that can cover a 2 meter square are so you will need more than 3 lights. For a 12 light solution where each one would cover 1m square a low cost light might be the PHLIZON Pro-series PH-X6. It is 360w which is about the right power for a square meter and the lights in the US are $279. Another alternative that is higher end would be an array of the Grow Light Science Grow 320 or Grow 300. (Migro carries these) It would also be a 4x3 array since they are a long and narrow light so instead of a 2x6, Three wide the narrow way and 4 long the long way to cover 6m length. (they are ~ 1.2 meters long).

Hounded Mars Hydro for months on a replacement because it was still under warranty and they refused to do absolutely anything about their garbage product. No repair, no exchange even though it was still under warranty, and I had to literally harass them with multiple emails to even finally get a replacement driver that I had to figure out how to wire up on my own, and then it STILL didn't work. That sucks to hear. If its still not right have you checked the solder points where the wires go to that board. When theres a bad connection that spot can get hot and with the heat the solder can pop out altogether. Might just need the 2 contacts redoing because flickering can be a sign of high resistance in the circuit from a poor contact point. Not ideal having to take it apart and DIY it but could potentially revive it

Nice. It's a shame your earlier test on this was on a 2.5 x 2.5 footprint as it means the PAR ratings can't be directly compared. I have 120cm x 120cm tent, this light won't be able to cover the whole foot print, right. Nor would two but four would - which is freaking investment to a broke man as I am 😬

Mh funked up big time should have kept going with the lights from 2018. The new light MIGHT be able to produce faster grow but its a bulimic grow thin plants that can't produce big heavy dense flowers. The company needs to do a uteru and go back. I hope they pull it back in 2023

dude its obvious you hate Mars. Why dont you hang it lower? Its got 800 in the middle, dont you always say you calibrate with a hanging hight that delivers 1000 in the middle? Looking at that perfect spread you could have easily hang it lower. What you did last time, by the way. Last time you gave it 12 inch whih resultet in 1.96. Doesnt matter what the company says, youre supposed to make the best out of the light. YOur own lights are hanging freakin 6-8 inch over the canopy. Just saying. YOu make it look like the new model is 10% less efficient than the last one which isnt true.

Low efficiency for a 2022 light. For the same price you can get a Kingbrite water resistant 120w light with Meanwell driver and Samsung Lm301H diodes. Both Mars Hydro and Spider Farmer are cutting costs, lowering their quality but not their prices.

Idk I was looking around for a friend recently and the cheapest 100W I could find was £110, 2 of those would have been £220 But Mars Hydro had a sale on them and my mate got 4 of their 100W ones for I think £230

@@evzevz06 Yes the T600 is very cheaply built with it's no name diodes and lack of a proper driver. I have a cheap light like that from spider farmer just to raise small seedlings, for the bigger plants I use proper growlights

You say it's quite a bit of light for a 2x2 tent so a 4x4 would be good 👍

Please anyone considering mars hydro please read reviews and do due diligence. Customer service matters, spend your money smart. I learned a $400 lesson with the ts3000, if it fails they won't care.

I woild much rather deal with viperspectra. Mars hydro customer service is horrible.
